Weird RPG

[h1] One of the weirdest and funniest games I've ever played in a long time[/h1] Weird RPG, as the name implies, takes pride on its... weirdness. Ba dum tiss. It has one of the most creative and bizarre weapons I've ever seen in my life. You want to kill something with your voice. Well, we've got a staff for that. You want to hit everything on the screen and off the screen? We have a huge axe for that as well. You want your weapon bigger? We've got pills for that... no wait, that's a Viagra commercial. Uhm, you can do that with your voice as well. Getting buffs while listening to a song recorded by the creator of the game? Also possible but not good for your ear and sanity though. There are more in the game that makes me go "How is that possible?" while laughing like it's the funniest thing I've ever saw. On that regard, it is top notch and I am eager to see what they cooked up for the 2nd game. A fairly simple souls like (kind of) that is 2 parts odd and 3 parts weird. Imagine getting lightning to strike down your enemies simply because the game tells you your new sword will do that for you if you yell into your microphone or that this new chest piece you have will have better or worse stats depending on your processor in your computer. Who the hell would even think of this for a game like this in the first place? If you have a few spare bucks get it and see for yourself.

Tying microphone usage to some extremely powerful damaging items without providing built-in alternatives is one of the worst decisions i've seen in game development. Ever.

Theres nothing to hook me into playing the game after 30 minutes. This isnt a souls-like, it only has a dodge mechanic. Thats it. No exp? Nothing to lose on death. As another review stated, progression is entirely gear based and even that is pretty weak over all. The game is "solid" in its foundation of being a hack and slash to clear a map but thats it. Walk through the map to the next group of enemies, clear them hope something interesting drops, move on. I didnt find the few boss fights difficult. I like that the bosses have a stun meter to work with but thats not explained in the short tutorial. Theres a story. A kind of generic mystic aura/magic is spreading across the land corrupting monsters who then attack people, but its only lightly mentioned in the first 30 minutes. Im open to the possibility that theres more but again the gameplay doesn't hook me.

Absolute piece of garbage game

An incredibly fun, short game with unique and quirky weapons and skills. Definitely worth a play. Make sure you have your microphone ready.
