The game just don't work for me, I don't understand who it's made for, I like typing games but this game require to type with one hand and to control movement with the other, it just doesn't click for me and most of the difficulty comes from me not knowing how to type with one hand. And the sense of achievement is also gone due to the fact that you can cheese the whole game by plugging in a controller and a keyboard at the same time and having one person control the movement and another type. Ultimately it is a good idea, but a bit too hard for my taste.

I type 160 wpm with 100% accuracy on almost any keyboard. Can't manage to get through the first actual level of this game. I will adjust key bindings for movement to see if it makes a difference, but as it stands I was looking forward to playing this and it [i]SUCKS![/i] What a stupid control scheme you guys have made, what a terrible way to take a great looking, great sounding game then make it near unplayable with the most bass-ackwards control scheme you could possibly think of. This isn't challenging, it's just built to be frustrating and that's stupid. No problem with my accuracy, but the stupid [i]literally[/i] unavoidable attacks that will often trigger in quick succession with no discernable pattern, all of it. You guys have made a great looking pile of crap. Oh, and my first time playing I got a bug where Ray ran into a pile of garbage and could not move left or right to move forward, instead just running forward without ceasing. But it looks nice and the soundtrack is great!

Got a credit roll about 3 hours in. As someone who gets ~140wpm on typeracer on a good day, I very much enjoyed a typing game that was actually challenging. I bought this game on a 90% off sale and do not regret it, but full price YMMV. I'm not sure if I'm interested enough to get the DLC though. What I especially liked: - I'm a sucker for pixel graphics - I'm a sucker for "dodge the shape," and this has some GREAT shapes in it - UI shows you both the word to focus on directly over the character (good for when you need to focus on dodging and want to incrementally work on a long word) as well as the longer phrase it's part of at the bottom of the screen (so when you have a breather you can look ahead, good for chaining small words together) What I did not like: - The game in between the boss fights is pretty milquetoast. - I found that when I lost in a boss fight, I often would rather close the game than go back through the early phases of it. - Some of the boss fights involve [spoiler]debuffs that do things that make it harder to read the text you're supposed to type, or jumble letters in a random order[/spoiler], and I did not care for those mechanics. - There's a "hold space t…

Game is great. Who knew mixing a bullet hell with typing could be so much fun? HOWEVER! If you don't know how to touch type or can't type particularly fast, then you should NOT get this game. If you refuse to heed my warning, then get ready for an absolute nightmare. You'll likely see a lot of negative reviews from people saying it's unfair or too difficult, and I say they're both right and wrong. When it comes to being unfair, it isn't, as the game provides you with everything necessary to even the playing field against all of its tough bosses. As for how hard it is, things get more and more brutal the further you get into the story, but nothing is impossible to beat. So, what's wrong? Well, everything I've described is only if you're a touch typer and have a particularly high wpm count,. The game does not cater to the casual typer, and will kick you in the teeth right from the get-go if you are. It dosn't help that there's a right minus wrong system, meaning if you put in a wrong letter to a word, it takes away a previous letter you got right. ♥♥♥♥ you morbidware why is there a range in this bullet hell game? Why do I randomly start over? Why do I only get 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lives in a bullet hell game? You really need to redo this game. There is no damn reason why I need to type, dodge, and stay in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ range to type at the same time to beat the boss this is ridiculously too hard and way too much mechanics all in one for this type of game. I think the easiest way to make this game basically playable is DO NOT GIVE A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RANGE METER. That is dumb really really dumb
