Digimon Survive

I wish there was a neutral vote. This game was just not my cup of tea. would totally watch an anime based of it just not the hours and hours of talking and clicking.

Almost everyone died, I am terrible at the whole "Survive" part, but it was fun, love Digimon, great story as usual

Refunded not because of story or gameplay as I barely made it far but because the prolouge cutscene ran like a slideshow I tired a few fixes but I didn't care enough to download apps in the microsoft store to fix it

Such a bad game. The writing is so bad.

I love Digimon but after 7 hours of suffering I'm throwing in the towel. The story is infuriatingly slow-paced, constantly retreading the same talking points between characters while taking ages to get anywhere. In between story beats are "exploration" moments which are just point-and-click segments to find a few hidden items and additional dialogue that doesn't progress the story at all. It feels like pointless padding. The combat has all the elements you’d expect from a monster battler (attributes, type match-ups, abilities, etc.), but lacks any strategic depth. You can win every encounter by just bum-rushing your opponents. Maybe the fights get more involved in the late game, but in my 7 hours of play I did not need to use my brain once. To summarize: the game is a bad visual novel stacked on top of a bad strategy game. I cannot recommend this to anyone, even to Digimon fans.

I have been obsessed with this game on playstation for years and after my ps4 bricked I got the perfect excuse to buy it here, I grew up on digimon and this felt so close to the original series with a dark twist for more mature fans.
