Battle against Rangers who are also on the quest to get stronger, and take down evil corporations that stand in your way and disrupt the peace.Dokimon takes inspiration from the "GameBoy Color" era of games, without the chunkiness of some of those old systems. (Like, the game's systems.. not the consoles, we love those).

On your adventures, you'll be able to:

  • Collect over 140 unique, original monsters
  • Go on an adventure expanding across 15+ towns
  • Explore several routes, caves, shrines, seas, and mountains
  • Complete a 15-20 hour story mode, and endless fun for completionists
  • Track down rare monsters to unlock the game's post story
  • Experience 7 alt-palettes for each monster (1 of which is incredibly rare)
  • Go FISHING!

Built to last. Dokimon: Quest was developed in the MonMae engine (aka Luna)

Dokimon: Quest was made in MonTamer Maker (MonMae, also know as Luna), which is platform/engine that was made specifically for making monster tamer games.
This engine continues to grow in it's uses and features thanks to the devs and helpful community. Therefore, the making of new Dokimon: Quest (and similar) titles is within arms reach, even for you!

Professor Intro

"Watch out!" "You almost just got singed by a Burnsby!! Didn't you know? They may be cute and cuddly, but they hide amongst plush animals, and strike out at unsuspecting prey. Their cute demeanor can quickly send you on a trip to the hospital!" Professor Rei: "Oh, hey! I didn't see you there. I was practicing my lines for.. Err, Nevermind..""My name is Rei! I've sort of made a name for myself as a Dokimon specialist. Ever since the Great Divide, I've made it my mission to thoroughly document Dokimon on Earth. Dokimon are extremely dangerous creatures, so studying them profusely helps to ensure everyone's safety. You probably already knew that, though.."
"But anyway, what are you still doing here? Go play the game already!"There is a Dokimon Wiki that includes information about all monsters, tips, guides, and more. To those that are interested, please check the Dokimon: Quest Steam Community Hub, or try googling "Dokimon Wiki".

The dokimons are super cute, as well as the style of all the game. And something I love from this title: enemy mons are not absurdly buffed like other creature collection RPG's.

A great attempt at a classic Pokemon-like game from the GB era, with modern touches and QOL improvements. A few oddities in the UI and linearity of the story make it slightly less 'smooth' as comparable ROM hacks, but still enjoyable!

If this game is on sale, just buy it and go for it. Honestly, it’s an absolute steal. Even at full price it’s worth every cent, and for $5 or even $10 you can’t go wrong. Okay, maybe this is my longest review ever, but I have so many thoughts and feelings to express here. I’m not even finished with the main story yet, but I already want to write this review because Dokimon leaves such a strong impression on me. The art style is beautiful. It has that classic Generation 2 feeling, but with its own unique color palette and lots of quality-of-life improvements. I also absolutely love the inspiration from Neon Genesis Evangelion. I really like that all the characters have such unique colors. It makes everyone stand out and gives the game its own style. The story hooks me almost immediately. It’s darker and more mature while still not taking itself too seriously. The character portraits shown during the dialogue are gorgeous. The title screen is so nostalgic, and I love the intro. I could watch it all day. The soundtrack is absolutely awesome!!! I actually catch myself sitting there listening to one song for almost ten minutes instead of playing. I enjoy it so much that I immediate…

Pretty Fun game if you like simliar games like pokemon but I dont think its worth the 20 CAD but I bought on sale for 2 bucks and at that price its more than worth it. Its a very simple game so dont expect anything crazy from the story or gameplay but i recommend it when its on sale. There are some problems with the game like the difficulty curve when you get to the mid game, the levels of trainers and bosses skyrocket while levels gained are super slow so the game forces you to play with the op mythicals you get or it makes you grind for a while. I also think the achievements are that aren't story related are very boring because it is mostly grinding levels and money. This won't affect everyone but thought i should mention it Overall I think the game is worth it on sale but has a few problems but I am excited to see what they create next and hope they keep making games

the game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cute and let you palette swap and choose your body. However, a lot of the text in the other languages (in this case, portuguese) has it space broken. It lacks testing, which is fine for a small indie game and can be good if you're fine with it's lack of polishing.
