[b]TL;DR[/b] Fun retro arcade racer with a great campaign, the retro camera can be a nuisance sometimes but the game accounts for it. [h3] Up sides [/h3] [list] [*] Physics are arcade in a good way and are instinctive to pick up [*] Huge selection of cars featuring a lot of 'legally distinct' fan favorites from Gran Turismo 2 and their signature liveries, such as the GTS-R Team Oreca and Toyota GT-one [*] Good selection of tracks, from small city tracks for starter compact cars to 'legally distinct' Monza and Suzuka [*] Progression is well balanced and most of the prize cars you get are useful to other events [*] Economy is tight enough to be meaningful but won't force you to grind events for upgrade money, you'll have to if want to buy different cars per class though. Even so, grind is minimal. [*] Normal difficulty is challenging yet forgiving, which offsets a lot of the disputes you may have with the camera angle [*] When you car reaches critical health, it'll restore to about 25% (One crash worth usually) if you don't crash further, which is a huge help in preventing DNFs and/or granny drive. Physics and handling are challenging at first, with the slower cars. But when you get io the faster cars they become undrivable. I picked the game up again after a 2 year hiatus, and quickly remembered why I quit. 1. Brakes are a mere suggestion, even when fully upgraded. 2. Understeer. These cars simply will NOT turn, even with full upgrades. 3. This makes it impossible to correctly judge what speed you need to be at for the corners. You'll always be either too fast or too slow. Heck, it's hard to judge what speed you're at in general. It's like there's no sense of speed at all. I really wanted to like this game, since I'm a PS1/PS2 Gran Turismo fan. Great idea, but sadly bad execution.

Game is fun but I had to refund because of the isometric camera. Was getting serious motion sickness when I'm not normally susceptible to that. If the game had chase camera (which I know won't happen because not in the dev vision, I can respect that), I would 100% recommend, but I personnally can't because of the lack of option for it.

The HUD display takes 25% of the screen and ALL INFORMATIONS ON THE HUD ARE USELESS!!! No one need to know his rank, speed, time, mini map. Who the ♥♥♥♥ needs that for driving?! You always always drive as good as you can, these information's change nothing about it .... Oh i am rank 5. And now? I cast a spell that make me rank 4? wtf is that? Oh my lap time is to high, i have to drive full speed from now on? i am already at full speed. i cant drive faster. no need to show me the time. Speed is irrelevant. no modern race car shows you the speed in the cockpit. What is that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? Minimap?! for what? I look on the road and the tracks are short. there is no need for the map. And every HUD element has a gray background, so you can see even less of the actual game.
