✦ AI summary

Highrise City offers an interesting blend of city-building mechanics with resource management focus that some players appreciate, but it suffers from significant technical issues including bugs, crashes, janky UI, clipping problems, and poor performance that undermine the experience. The economic and coverage systems feel underdeveloped and frustrating, and with the game appearing abandoned and receiving no meaningful updates, players recommend looking elsewhere for a more polished city-builder instead.

If you're looking for a replacement for other city builders like me then keep looking. This game is incredibly janky, you'll spend most of your time fighting the game's bugs rather than actually building a city, a lot of structures and streets clip with each other, the UI acts and animates really weird, adding streets feels very restrictive, sudden performance issues, the game softlocked me during the tutorial when a popup appeared while I was moving the camera, many little things that stack and become really frustrating overtime, feels like this is is permanently stuck in early access without any QA testing done despite releasing as a complete game. I was hoping that maybe this game would be updated to resolve these issues but judging by the date of it's latest update and the developer's social media, it's quite obvious that this game has been abandoned as is.

The economic mechanics are terrible and need to be seriously flushed out. The distance or aura of effect on certain buildings is also a very terrible system, just on the beginning square alone you would need 4-5 fire and police for a proper coverage

Great game - nice mix of skylines and anno but more fun than either imo (at least for the latest versions). This reminds me of a good version of Simcity 2013 which had some interesting ideas but was badly implemented. If you want a fun citybuilder that's not tedious then this is the one to try. Its heavily oriented around resource management which is appealing to me. I don't want to micromanage the traffic and this game doesn't aske you to. Good job developers.

Garbage thats not even working properly. In videos it looks like a cool idea but the delived product is just garbage! The whole game felt somehow off from the start, but what really got me was the delivery missions, where you dont have to care about traffic or even buildings, you can just drive straight through textures.
