Dark Deception: Monsters & Mortals

I really enjoy playing this game with friends but the fact no one plays it makes it impossible to play. I haven't gotten around to playing solo play and I might not ever if they don't fix most of the bugs. overall a 5/10

I am 100% convinced that the developers of this game have released this with zero testing, because holy ♥♥♥♥, what is this. This is one of the most broken, buggy, unpolished and imbalanced games i have ever played, and i wonder if the original Dark Deception is as bad as this. Some characters are so weak and slow that they become almost entirely unusable, while others clearly stand out with how strong they are, giving you no reason to pick any character aside from them, especially since there is barely any gameplay differences between them. It's just their health, their walking speed, and their ultimate that's different. So most characters feel the exact same, except many of them are too slow to be usable. The characters that are better than most others are usually the fastest ones, as they can simply outrun anyone else, or those that have ultimates that can stun enemies. Attacking also feels incredibly clunky, as the hitboxes of your attacks are much, much smaller than the attack looks, and i am honestly still unclear on where exactly attacks even connect. You mainly just run around an opponent and spam m2, hoping that your hits connect eventually. The map selection is incred…

...can't reccomend it. instead of attempting to fix the main issues with the game, such as fixing old map layouts to be more entertaining, they seem very pressed on releasing/focusing on DLC.... after a full hour of attempting to get into a multiplayer game, i always ended up in a lobby by myself, safe to say the game is dead. the solo mode isn't even a viable option as the AI breaks SO much, they just stand still. and when they don't, they always know exactly where everything is, break with so many interactions. TLDR: the game isn't playable.
