Simple game, but hella fun and surprisingly addictive. There is so much joy I got from customising my fortress and slugging it out with my opponent. I love how many options there are. Not only can we tweak fortress specialisations (offense vs defense vs utility) and weapons (of course), but there's also PERKS!! Campaign wise, its nothing too special. Think of it like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat. Its there to bring u from 1 battle to the next. End of story. Not bad per se, but nothing too special :) Really the gameplay carries this whole thing, and its really good and had me engaged for the entire, and surprisingly lengthy campaign. Really I think the only thing missing from Redcon is a multiplayer mode so we can see who can lob more shells, missiles and other ordnance at each other the most XD

REDCON takes a focused approach to real-time strategy by replacing traditional armies, sprawling battlefields, and base construction with enormous fortified positions locked in brutal artillery duels. Developed and published by Hexage, the game places the player in command of a military fortress where victory depends on far more than simply possessing the biggest guns. Weapons, ammunition, electrical power, personnel, defensive systems, and structural damage all demand attention, creating battles that feel like carefully controlled tactical emergencies. Its relatively simple side-view presentation makes the concept immediately understandable, but the underlying strategy becomes considerably more demanding as the campaign progresses. The story unfolds in a grim alternate future where the First World War never truly ended and generations have grown accustomed to permanent conflict. As a Strike Commander serving the Empire State, the player is sent against the forces of the rebellious General Kranz.
