[b] Story [/b] The story of Icebound revolves around Dougal and Isaac, an alchemist and his familiar who made a terrible mistake, and search for a way to rectify it. Along the way they meet many characters and explore new lands. [b]Art: [/b] The art is decent, there is a variety of art for each character, as well as CG's for important scenes. [b]Gameplay[/b] This VN does feature some gameplay in the form of Alchemy puzzles. These involve placing colored squares in the right order to fill up a board, these can be quite challenging, and can be a fun break from reading. [b]Music[/b] The music and sound design is well done, the music compliments the scenes nicely and flows seamlessly with the game. [b]Overall[/b] Players who enjoy fantasy or steampunk novels wil enjoy Icebound, it features a refreshing story with interesting plot points and mystery to keep you interested, and gameplay and puzzles will keep you coming back for more.

Nice little game, the story is easiest the best part of it. It shows of a grim cold world filled on the brink of war. The puzzles are quait few and far between, also I had no problem finishing them. I like the multie route choice and multiple endings. The ones I finished where good.

Not a bad game, not a great game but pretty good compared to most steam VN in my opinion. Plenty of choices in the game and different endings..tho a lack of romance options i am happy that there atleast was one in the game.The puzzle game is not to hard and not to easy, perfect for me.

Alchemy is more than just a handy skill in the world of Permia. Alchemists are both admired and feared and have the ability to sort out problems and fix what was once broken. With a strong emphasis on character development and world-building, the simple task of discovering a monster that’s been terrorizing a town becomes all the more intricate. It has beautiful art direction, fitting music, and an alchemy mini-game that is placed at just the right parts of the game to leave me refreshed. I will say that Icebound is easily one of the best visual novels I've played so far. It does so many things right and I had so much trouble putting it down. It's a great game, and definitely worth giving a go.

As a game it self I would downvote it as the mini game is kind of boring and don't realy add to the story and your decissions only add up for a handfull different endings. Why I still decided to give this a upvote is its unique story and setting that have some suprissing turns so its worth to buy at a low enough price. (The 2.2h play time was only because I wanted the trading cards to get to all endings actual took me less time)
