About Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko's Hysteric Birthday Bash

Sachiko Shinozaki, tragically murdered at age 7; such a sweet girl, taken away at such a young and tender age! Sure, she may have reacted by becoming a bloodthirsty, vengeful spirit responsible for the deaths of countless other children, as well as their erasures from history, but everyone knows that in her heart of hearts, she’s just an ordinary, innocent little 7-year-old…right?

Well, no. Because you see, today is her birthday! She’ll be turning…7 again, naturally. But in celebration, she’s decided to grant all her victims 24 hours of amnesty from their suffering by gathering them all together for a…hysteric? birthday bash. There will be party games, entertainment, adventure, and most of all, romance!

Join Sachiko and the lovable cast of damned souls from previous Corpse Party games—along with a few new faces—as they take the very concept of genre and toss it aside. Prepare to experience terror, discomfort, joviality, and confusion in equal measure as Heavenly Host Elementary plays less-than-heavenly host to cooking contests, co-ed mixers, interpretive stage drama, traditional party games, and Lovecraftian horrors alike.

Because you know what they say: Hell hath no fury like a 7-year-old girl bored…

A (surprisingly) canonical “midquel” to Corpse Party and Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, taking place sometime during the course of those games, Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko’s Hysteric Birthday Bash recounts the bizarre events of vengeful ghost girl Sachiko Shinozaki’s one-of-a-kind birthday party held in the otherworldly school where so many lives have been lost in previous games: Heavenly Host Elementary.

The game plays out as a visual novel, divided into eight main chapters that each detail a different activity or cluster of activities. Player decisions determine which of the game’s endings is attained, with only one true ending from each chapter leading into the next. Surviving to the end will require thinking like Sachiko and making the choices that will please her the most…but with the fewest casualties.

The corpse party has turned into a birthday party. "No way it's actually just a birthday party, right?" Surprisingly, it pretty much is.

6/10 Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko's Hysteric Birthday Bash is a spinoff horror comedy visual novel set in the Corpse Party series following Sachiko’s birthday celebration. Campy and all over the place. Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko's Hysteric Birthday Bash is a spinoff of the Corpse Party series in the style of a horror comedy visual novel. The best part about Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko's Hysteric Birthday Bash is without a doubt the ending, which provides more context to the series as a whole. The art style, music, and sound effects used are wonderful and added to the overall atmosphere of the game. I liked the usage of the gymnasium! The title plays like a typical visual novel so a lot of reading is required. I recommend playing through the Corpse Party series before starting this spinoff. I experienced no bugs while playing. It took me ~13 hours to complete the title with all achievements. There aren’t cards but there are Steam Point Shop items available. No moments were particularly funny and because of the campy way they wrote the visual novel, the horror aspect falls flat. The whole story felt like fanfiction and the tone felt extremely offputting. It’s the weakest in the Co…

i despise this game as a huge fan of corpse party it has fun moments sure and various endings to each chapter but its just so nothing the game is a visual novels through and through with choices every so often determining the chapters end. the reason i hate this game isnt the game itself i actually think this is a cool concept for a side game but i hate the execution i understand that anime and visual novels tend to have fan service but this game goes way to hard on it, it actually made me extremely uncomfortable at times such as the scene of azusa and her friend late game and the tentacle scene early into the game, there is nothing explicitly sexual (bar like one moment) but the inuendos and framing of scenes is so sickening additionally this game explains things crucial to the lore of the final game in the heavenly host series which is so weird for a spinoff with a completely different vibe from the main games to do thats like if a resident evil sticker book had crucial lore for a future game honestly skip this if theres anything ur confused about in blood drive look it up ur not missing anything of note and u will save urself the headache that bein said if ur that despera…
