Seek Etyliv

This is a small and cute little game that I do not recommend. The puzzles themselves are fine even great sometimes. There’s even a lil story which is really neat. The visuals are cute too. The issue rises with the game-play loop. With limited elements to the puzzles and the size of the puzzles being 3 by 3, there can only be so many solutions meaning you will do the same puzzles over and over again. Its too short and too repetitive. A shame really.

This is possibly the most ridiculously small playing field I've ever seen: a 3x3 grid, with all puzzles happening within it, and several even missing some of those tiles, as if it wasn't cramped enough. The whole game is inside a space little more than three times that grid, in turn taking up a small space in the middle of the screen, although there is thankfully an option to zoom in. Despite the limited space for movement and the fact that there are so few moves available at any time that reaching a solution doesn't take long, the puzzles are still interesting and framed in hyper-minimalist graphics and sound, with cryptic narration to link them. The second act introduces a change in the player's movement, as they can now move only two tiles at a time unless there is an obstacle in their path, so they can cross gaps but with added complications, as an enemy can be dispatched only with a hit coming from two tiles away. The major issue is that it just ends after that. Afterwards, all that's left is a roguelite mode of sorts where puzzles are randomized and dying sends the player to the beginning of a run, but even then there is little new:, a dozen or so puzzles from either act be…

Unfortunately, like others said, it's just a bit too basic and repetitive. Even when the puzzle stumps you, it's only for a minute at most. And it doesn't feel very satisfying to figure out the answer.

There's some good puzzles in here. Felt that the difficulty was pretty on point. Didn't understand nor connect with the poem but it was a good reward for completing a puzzle and kept me trying to put the pieces together. The minimalist aesthetic fits great with the gameplay. The game taught mechanics through its design instead of pop-up windows which I appreciate. The endless mode seems frustrating and I doubt I'll put any time in it, but I was satisfied with the main content so that wasn't necessarily an issue for me.

My favorite game for this price point. Witty and fun

Simple yet good game. Interesting atmosphere, has some sort of mysterious feeling in it. Recommend it!
