Corn Kidz 64

Great animations, good 3D mascot platforming, good sense of humor. There are a couple of sections I found irritatingly difficult and wished there were checkpoints for. But that is verisimilitude. (I bought this because of Lyle in Cube Sector, which is also a great game! I recommend Uurnog if you are looking for something more cube-sectory though!)

fun game that perfectly imitates that old N64 feel (even the bad camera, for some reason.) it's pretty short but definitely worth the price.

Genuinely don't recall buying this, and it languished in my backlog for who knows how long. But Corn Kidz should really have been named SuperGoat Fun 64, because its a story about goats. Goats who can jump, who can do flying headbutts, and have a lot of fun. Set in a dreamscape where goats can defy the laws of gravity, they can practice their 'goat powers' (named corn powers). It harkens back to the N64 era, so don't expect photorealistic 3D worlds here. It's designed to run on low CPU platforms, and runs buttery smooth on the Steam Deck. I'm enjoying it so far, but the camera is janky and does cause a little cybersickness. Worth persevering through though.

very fun game, but it is quite short. good thing its cheap!

It's a very charming and incredibly faithful throwback to N64-era 3D platformers with tight controls, good level design, and a kickass art direction. The only problem is that it's about one-third the length of its contemporaries - there's only three levels. It absolutely nails the execution, but it desperately needs a full-length sequel in the future.
