A fun isometric game in the style of Tunic. It doesn't take itself too seriously, with most of its world being framed in a satirical sense. There were a few times where a bit of overt humor spoiled the vibe (Such as a character saying "RIP <Spoiler name>" right after a moving funeral), but the game mostly lets its characters remain serious inside their silly world. The combat is nice and fluid on a controller, and only suffers a little from the isometric perspective. The difficulty leans on the easier side of things, and the difficulty curve is a smooth one. It was a shorter experience than I think the asking price deserves, so perhaps wait for a sale or bundle for this one? Game Advice: - Plant all of the flower pots you find. There's no reward for saving the seeds, and there is an achievement for planting all of them throughout the game. - There are no "points of no return", take your time with everything. Getting the extra health and mana might make the game too easy- My recommendation would be to avoid these unless you're struggling with the current content.

Even with the cute design, the atmospheric setting and the satisfying environmental puzzles, all I can say is - God I hate souls-slop. I can't stand this loop of getting your ass delivered to you until you overcome the uncomfortable movement and weave enough single attacks in-between rolling around trying to dodge, after walking the walk of shame fifty times after every defeat. Nothing personal, I would complain, overcome with passionate hatred, even if the game was free. Hell, I would probably demand to be paid as moral compensation if that was the case. If the upgrade tree actually looked exciting, I might've stayed, but flat stat bonuses as meta progression made discovering the hidden areas and collecting big bucks feel that much more boring and unrewarding. I owe my gaming setup an apology for falling for the environmental puzzle routine despite hating the souls-like genre and giving this game another try. Won't make the same mistake again.

I absolutely love this game, it's very charming. Reminds me of souls-like games combined with platformers, like hollow knight but 3D. Visuals are amazing, the artstyle is very cute, the story was good, and the soundtrack and sound design were wonderful. Overall an enjoyable experience that made me wanting more. It's simple, short, and sweet. Some criticisms would be that the tutorial doesn't inform you of all of the movesets. For the longest time I thought I needed to unlock an ability to go through the sewers but found out I could've opened them from the very beginning. Maybe I'm just stupid and you're just supposed to figure it out at that point but I didn't until I was already endgame. There's also some backtracking that you have to do once you unlocked new abilities. I didn't mind but it was annoying without a map. It can also get frustrating at times just like any other souls-like games. So if you don't like souls-like games, then I would not recommend this. Otherwise, it is definitely worth your time.

I've always loved a good story about death. And this certainly is one of them.

It's pretty and sounds good. The biggest change in your combat flow is *wack wack dodge* vs *wack wack WACK dodge* and it gets old very quickly.
