About Ohr: אור

The Blinding Light Dissipates; You Are Manifest.

The people's cries have activated ancient Ohr deposits and woken you from your slumber.

They used to sing songs about you, the angels, the stars the watchers; then one day you all disappeared.

But now you are back and must help them to find their frequencies, their souls, your heaven ....

  • The mother of all Rail slave games, all the genres, all the esoteric-ism, all the fever dreaming
  • \

  • Unique and bizarre "karma cow" micro management
  • \

  • "Tang soo do" your way through specially cordoned off battle hot zones; utilize round house kicks, spinning 360 hook kicks, ki energy attack and it's upgrades, diamond dredge and plas-palm.
  • \

  • Heavily inspired by NES turtles, Simons quest, The adventure of Link and Dizzy ....all the games your mother warned you about.
  • \

  • Tricky to master but rewarding wind up animation based attacks, precision jumping, over world and side scrolling action, shops.
  • \

  • OST of Evocative Piano reflections punctuated by F.Tylers menacing, grinding noise core.

Ohr: אור, developed by Rail Slave Games and published by KPL, is an unusual and highly experimental indie title that blends retro-inspired gameplay with surreal narrative themes and mystical symbolism. From its opening moments, the game signals that it is not interested in following conventional design formulas. Instead, it embraces abstraction, ambiguity, and a collage of mechanical influences drawn from early console-era action and adventure games. The result is a project that feels intensely personal and creatively bold, though not always cohesive in execution. The premise is steeped in spiritual and symbolic undertones. Players awaken as a mysterious being called forth by the cries of humanity, tasked with recovering lost “frequencies” and restoring balance to a fragmented world. The narrative is intentionally opaque, communicated through fragmented text, symbolic imagery, and dreamlike sequences rather than straightforward exposition. This abstract storytelling invites interpretation rather than providing clear answers, giving the game an almost allegorical tone. For some players, this ambiguity creates intrigue and atmosphere; for others, it can feel disorienting and inacces…

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…
