About INDUSTRIA

✦ AI summary

Escort a missing colleague through a surreal parallel dimension on the night the Berlin Wall fell, uncovering dark secrets in a mysterious research facility through first-person exploration and combat. This atmospheric story-driven shooter blends Cold War intrigue with Lynchian horror across 4 hours of haunting gameplay set in a twisted industrial otherworld.

On the evening of the fall of the Berlin wall, a young woman plunges headlong into a parallel dimension to find her missing work colleague who has disappeared under mysterious circumstances. While the checkpoints in East Berlin are still being overrun by crowds of people, Nora escapes from this world, into unknown layers of time and into an unknown fate.

  • Profound story: Experience a classic story-driven first-person shooter with about 4 hours of gameplay
  • Tight atmosphere: Dive into a lovingly designed world full of mystery and lynchesque surreality
  • Deadly danger: Enemies lurk around every corner - defend yourself with 5 different weapons
  • Unique setting: Berlin at the time of the fall of the wall meets a surreal industrialized city
  • Experimental soundtrack: Synthesizer, acoustic instruments and melancholic vocals

Berlin, 9th November 1989: The streets are full of people. After four decades of division, thousands of cars are rolling across the inner-German border. The Wall is finally open!

At the same time a man disappears in a secret research facility near East Berlin. His goodbye message reaches you too late. You drive back to the office, where the State Security has already destroyed all records of the research project. The complex is deserted and empty.

The search for Walter takes you deep into the center of the facility - right into the heart of the universe, where time seems to stand still. The dark secret lurks - well hidden - behind the curtain. In the end, it is horrible insights and the questions of responsibility that make you dive deeper and deeper into a strange, surreal yet familiar world.

Extremely buggy, unfortunately had to refund, idea really good though. :(

Very short, but worth it for a few bucks

*takes a deep breath* I hate enforced arena fights with endless waves of enemy and that’s exactly what this game throws at you towards the end. I do like the mystery and the setting, also the graphical implementation is pretty good too but this 'design decision' ruined for me. Honestly i feel sad rn, 'cause I was looking forward the sequel but this absolutely killed it for me. If you’re not as sensitive as I am at this point, you’re in for an entertaining but short game, set in an interesting world with interesting characters and great voice acting.

Very soft yes. Pros: - Good atmosphere, mystery - Short, sweet, inexpensive Cons: - Poor performance, Played DX11, Mid-High AMD PC - Cliffhanger story Neutral: - Lots of ideas used one time only (maybe due to short length) – Normal is also difficult

This game is really let down by its saving mechanism and its lack of ammo. And the bugs. You can read about those frustrations in other comments, but they're (still) true. The environments are nice, the game play is good, and all that, but that's not enough. When the the odds are stacked against you, you don't want to replay the same part of a level over and over again, only to discover that there was yet another thing, and now you have to repeat it even more often before you can finally progress and save. It's an unpleasant experience, especially when the game decides you're playing at the normal level, when you started at easy. The dialogs and voice acting are also horrible, but at least they don't get in the way of playing the way the save mechanism does. The game was really cheap, but that's to promote Industria 2. Needless to say: don't buy, even at $1.99. And I'm not even going to consider the sequel.
