SCP Operations

I've changed this to a negative review due to the Developer choosing to add AI assets (including the new store thumbnail) to the game.

i got this on a sale for .89 cents that is what it is worth. has alot of lore and 5 maps to explore. the level up system is fun and by the end you will probably have on character with max stats with the others having max stats in the really important skills. but other than that everything else in this game is under cooked. pistols are to good being better than a shotgun or the rifle.

I was intrigued by the game going in, due to being a fan of the SCP universe but most SCP games I could find on Steam being multiplayer. Thus a single-player SCP game seemed right up my alley. I found the gameplay to be a tad simplistic and basic; there is not too much depth to it. What there is is good enough. There are just enough missions to merit the price (I paid £4.29), although I would caution anyone making a decision to buy as from what I have heard, there is no more development going into the game (so no more missions). The game has you travel to different locations, each with unique environments, so visually the game is quite nice. A criticism I would have of the game is the lack of proper soundtrack; for the vast majority of the game there is only one track (including in the main menu!). The basic gameplay can be mastered easy enough, and I would say difficulty wise it was a tad easy - I managed to complete all the missions without losing a single squad member (though there were a couple of occasions where things got hairy for one agent). I like that the SCP monsters are based on actual SCPs in the SCP universe, but I honestly don't think you get to see or encounter …

I've been a huge fan of SCP for years, this game was not bad but a bit repetitive, and fell a bit short, there was a clear intent from dev to implement more content, but there is honestly not that much of it, for its price is good, and i went with it cuz i was quite in the mood for a turn based game. Story is solid, the use of the SCPs is good too, i'd tweak a few things here and there, i didn't have high expectations, but i could not say the game is bad. If they followed through a little bit and expanded the combat system to also get to use (not control) SCPs it would have been a huge win. I just go with average with this one, but mostly solid. There was one achievement that asked for a bit much but nothing u cant knock off in 1 or 2 days a couple hours each evening =P

It's fine for $0.99. Extremely basic.
