Nomads of the Fallen Star

The meat and bones of the game, the tactical combat, is very lackluster: No overwatch, no cover, no elevation, no terrain modifiers, no delaying action. The tactics is down to move-away-and-shoot if you're ranged, close-in-and-whack when you're melee, with the odd pop a consumable, in a barren 8x8 grid. If you're thinking this game to scratch your squad-, turn-based tactical game itch then don't. Maybe the game is great in the sandbox, trade, overland aspect of the game, but that's not why I got it.

Really fun game. The turned-based combat is reminiscent of Battle Brothers, but the small party size and complexity of the fights require a well thought out plan. Admittedly, the trading can get a bit monotonous over time, but it took me a solid 12-14 hours of play before I started to pull back the reigns on my playtime. I highly recommend this game as something that is both unique and entertaining.

Well it can be a grind! The game if harder than you would think, I look forward to any DLC or a sandbox add on!

Repetitive and boring, difficulty mostly determined by random generated enemies. can make cash easy but nowhere to recruit others to your team. if you scavenge in front of another scavenge group they will chase you down the entire map from town to town and then beat your ace early game unless you give them half your cash and they are everywhere making scavenging almost not worth it. good early concept but needs LOTS of polishing.

Cannot recommend - bad UI. Bad bad bad bad bad UI.

I enjoyed playing this 'version' of Battle Brothers a lot until maybe the mid-game when the lack of variety, progression and story made the game a grind without reward. Maybe someone more determined than me could power through to the next level and victoryh
