Fantasy Heroes

In a sea of RPG Maker games, Fantasy Heroes stands out as one of the good ones. It is a little short, 6-10 hrs. depending on how much you grind, but totally worth the 5 dollar price. The story and gameplay are different enough to keep me engaged, and the character dialogue/interactions are entertaining. I should probably also mention that I haven't come across any bugs, and have had no crashes. I'd like to see more from Lumen.

RPGMaker game. You play as a lonely knight. Standard adventure plot. Gameplay is interesting enough. Recommend for those who like this type of game.

Pretty okay, then you get to the 2nd region and there's nowhere to rest, nowhere to heal, and then the enemy difficulty spikes to the moon.

The few things the game gets right are greatly outweighed by what it does wrong. For starters you have to pay extra to get the instructions book as a DLC item (which is just an odd thing to do), there appears to be no key mapping ability, no way to make the game full screen (or adjust screen size at all), the graphics are overly detailed and tiny, creating a headache inducing expereince, the dialogue is tedious, forced, and annoying. The font used for the dialogue is awful to look at, things that are supposed to be easy to see (like save points) are so poorly designed, they end up being hidden like they're a secret. Game mechancis and the combat display are non-intuititve, and in-game descriptions are willfully vague (maybe designed to force players to pay for the instruction book?). This game would be over priced at free.

Its good but the spiky grass, spiky water in the dungeon, even in the world maps are very annoying :(
