Jewel Match Solitaire Summertime

the reskin factory strikes again. the campaign is the same as all the others before, same power-ups, same achievements (some with mismatching icons and descriptions, that's how lazy they are), same unresponsive ui, same everything, but they once again replaced the backgrounds. at least their artists are doing something, and thankfully it's not more underwater nonsense for the billionth time. can't believe there are FIVE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ atlantis solitaires now. so actually even their artists are just phoning it in. [b]the one thing they changed only made things worse: power-ups need charging now.[/b] as if tedium wasn't the name of the game before, when a level restart reset power-ups too. nope, match like crazy after using one and keep hoping it'll be charged by the time it's needed again, most likely not during the next replay or level. can't even just flip through a deal to get it over with because only matching counts. the only consolation is lightning still removes a card even if it's frozen, but I'm sure they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ this up as well in a later iteration, or it's gonna happen at some point. then there's the usual subpar mahjong that has no business in a solitaire anyway, with lazy ide…

Although a fine game, it suffers from the same flaw that every other game in this series does, namely levels that you're simply not going to complete without a ridiculous amount of luck. If the maker of this game ever reads this comment, I'm curious to know the logic in having levels that you are NEVER GOING TO COMPLETE WITHOUT RIDICULOUS AMOUNTS OF LUCK. Seriously. What's the point? What could possibly motivate you to put in levels that YOU KNOW CANNOT BE COMPLETED unless you get insanely lucky, and that you can actually come near to completing before things fall apart? Are you disconnected from reality, and think that this is what game players want? Do you get off on frustrating players, and your joy comes from knowing you’ve upset people? Or are you just stupid, and don’t understand that you’re doing something wrong? Someone in this company, I’m dying to hear from you; explain to me why in the hell you think adding in such levels makes your game better? Supersize Levels 33 and 36 are statistically impossible to beat. Unless you take the time to rack up thousands of gold coins to buy jokers, you are NOT GOING TO COMPLETE these levels. Lovely presentation, terrible grind. Could be easily a very good solitaire title, but the later levels are just frustrating to play.

seemed a bit trickier than other Jewel Match Solitaire games and the inclusion of quests would have been a nice change of pace if there was actually any incentive for doing them (like achievements)

I've played a few of the Jewel Match Solitaire games and they are all about the same gameplay-wise, but this one is far more tedious compared to the other titles. I think that has to do with how they redid the powers in the game. They are now cool down timer rather than a set number per attempt played. Even the shuffle is based on a cool down. There's a lot of minigames to play with this one though so if that's interesting to you, then you should be happy. Visuals are nice too as per usual, just not my pick for these types of games.

I love it, it's relaxing and has beautiful scenes to complete. plus a collection of solitaire (klondike, pyramid etc) and mahjong included.
