Demeo Battles

I agree with others that this game should have been included in the original Demeo game and feels, at most, like DLC. However, if you played and liked the original Demeo, then you'll probably like this. In short, this is a series of skirmish maps, with 2 heroes and their minions versus a like set of enemies. At the beginning of each match, you may get to select your heroes, minions, and cards--or not, depending on the map. Matches are short, about 10-20 minutes at most, since the map gets slowly consumed by fire as the rounds progress. It's an interesting concept that guarantees that the action keeps moving and that there are no stalemates. I like it. If you like turn-based games that include fantasy themes and tactical combat, this is a good one. If you've played Demeo (which I recommend), then this is somewhat more of the same. The AI is pretty decent, and there are enough heroes, maps, cards, monsters, etc. for hours of play. However, do wait for a discount.

You have to WIN roughly 120 games just to get all the base Demeo characters unlocked. Ranked = Just play Elementals and run around until, really fun and balanced matchmaking having no objective :D Seems like this mode should have been added to the base Demeo. 120 wins to unlock all the base characters. 120 wins to unlock all the characters you have already played with the last game for hours. There are some design choices... The reviews make it pretty clear what the Dev team should do, but I guess they want this project to "die" on the hill they created. See it all the time, sad stuff.

Similar review to my other ones, I'm a huge fan of the series and have all 3 games. if you like strategy style board games, rpgs, dungeon crawllers, demeo games are for you

Its like a cool interactive turn based "Hero Quest" with under tones of D&D
