Nightly Maintenance is a single player psychological horror hidden object game that will take you on a journey through a creepy and abandoned factory. As Malcom, the maintenance worker, your task is to complete three randomly assigned tasks each night, but beware - an oversized and mysterious mannequin is watching your every move.
The tasks are not your typical maintenance duties and will require you to solve puzzles, find hidden objects, and navigate the dark and eerie factory to complete them. You may be tasked with testing all the light switches, picking up scattered pallets, or even ordering a pizza, but each task presents its own set of challenges and obstacles to overcome.
But that's not the only thing you need to worry about. The mannequin, with its haunting presence and malevolent gaze, adds a layer of tension and unease to your journey. You'll need to be quick and smart to avoid its wrath and complete your tasks without being caught.
As you progress through the game, the twists and turns of the factory's dark and twisted backstory will slowly be revealed. This is such a weird but good idea for a horror game. What I really like is the kind of hand made style the game has. Also the music seems self made to me, thats always good. Pros: - The artstyle - The I guess self made music - The general idea Cons: - You can easily clip out the map if you walk too close into a wall - The way the mannequin works (but thats just in my opinion) Great game, definetly recommendet!1 found this helpful
I really don't know how else to describe it... this game is just all-around bad.
Game has some bugs but for a solo dev, this is great! I spoke with him and he is going to make some updates to potentially expand! A great stream game to play, I went in with some average expectations and I enjoyed it.
This game is a blast to play! I really appreciate its simple yet engaging concept and you can clearly tell that a lot of effort has gone into it. The tasks are entertaining, and the mechanic where the mannequin chases you in the light while you rely on illumination to spot your objectives keeps you constantly alert. And yes—the mannequin is absolutely terrifying! The haunting sound design adds an extra layer of suspense and really ramps up the scares. I definitely recommend giving this game a try!
I dont think the game is trying to take itself seriously, but honestly with some polish this could be a real cool game
I wouldn't really call it scary, but it is fun for a short little play through. Very easy to clip out of the world so be careful when you're close to walls. Pretty simple game, good for a 10 minute play through. Perfect pricing at .99 cents (on sale for .49 cents currently). Pretty buggy but it is what it is. I loosely recommend it. 5/10
