✦ AI summary

RailGods of Hysterra has an interesting concept combining cosmic horror with survival mechanics aboard a living locomotive, but players consistently report the game is abandoned by developers, plagued with bugs, janky combat, and frustrating progression systems that were never fixed. Multiple reviewers strongly advise against purchasing, even at a discount, as the game remains in an unfinished state with no developer support.

This game has been abandoned by the developers, it should be removed from the store by Steam. Sadly it's still full of bugs, broken mechanics and not worth spending even 1€

This game's progression is incredibly frustrating and rough by any standard. The combat is quite jank as well. It's just an unfinished mess. If you're on the fence, don't buy this, even on sale.

The game's setting is heavily inspired by Lovecraftian mythology, portraying a world devastated by the arrival of incomprehensible cosmic beings. Civilization has collapsed, and only scattered survivors remain while monstrous creatures, fanatical cultists, and supernatural horrors dominate the wilderness. Players take on the role of a Dreamer awakened from the Dreamlands and linked to the RailGod through an otherworldly bond. Exploration constantly exposes players to corrupted environments and terrifying discoveries, while the looming threat of m…
