Damien Crawford's Golf Experience 2022

Gonna be honest, I feel like the trailer lies to you. There's no commentator in the game, unless you count that constant lawnmower noise.

I cleared the first hole in 9 strokes. The novelty of this game is worth $2. I think there's more to be explored in the idea, but the developer was probably correct to not invest any more time in a joke/art game than precisely was necessary. The message of the game is that golf is confusing and frustrating for the novice, to the point of surrealism. It delivers on that premise. At the time of writing, this game has two negative reviews: - One person said it was fun, but that putting is impossible, which is provably false. - The other person said the game "doesn't work" yet attached a 12 minute video of them successfully completing the first hole in 13 strokes.

Very chill and meditative game where you figure out how golf clubs work and what kind of distance (on average) they'll hit for, with or without some wind/variance to the sides. I recommend playing with a podcast or something if you prefer to listen to something while playing, although it can take your full attention to remember the hit distance mentioned above, and judging how far you are from the hole.

It's golf without the trappings of video-game golf. It's an experience. Interesting yet meditative, boring on the face but still compelling. 10/10 golf sim
