It's neither the first, nor the last TD game based on the hero-merging concept.

This is a fairly straight forward game without a lot of depth but it's fun for what it is. Recommed people play the demo to see if they would enjoy it. The demo is ~80% of the 'content' and ~50% of play time (as of writing). To get a bit more nit-picky on some of the aspects that keep the game fairly shallow (again still fun, but shallow) - Higher tier units are suuuuuuper powerful (not just the highest tier, but at every incremental level, 2 much stronger than 1, 3 much stronger than 2, etc). It's really an automatic decision to combine and look to build combinations - There doesn't really seem to be much scope for trying to tailor a 'build' during a run given the lack of control on most unit selections and then just aiming to find whatever upgrades them (see point 1). - The final map has this rotating enemy buff setup (e.g. buffed health for 10 rounds, then buffed magic resist for 10 rounds, etc) which doesn't really seem to work well as a gameplay feature. There's the issue with being able to control the build mentioned above, however it also seems to just incetivise doing a 'balanced' build without strengths or weaknesses so that you're not suddenly kneecapped with a bad bu…

It's a great purist tower defense. There's a RNG mechanic that really magnifies your skill. Has an easy to learn, hard to master, along with a one more round, thing going on. Very well done. I'm very much looking forward to the updates.
