Polda

Polda 1 slouží jako super retro podívanou na dobu, kdy vycházelo nejen málo videoher ve světě, ale převážně v Česku. Řekl bych, že tahle hra, (převážně s Poldou 2) by měla být must-play pro každého českého fanouška video-her. Humor je takový, jaky by jste od Poldy očekávali. Hodně suchý a... "dospělácký". Občas se dá docela ztratit v tom, co máte dělat, ale naštěstí je ve hře příručka, která vám vždycky pomůže z těchto úzkých situací vyklouznout. Konec konců má i dodnes Polda 1 nepřetržitý šarm, který se nedá překonat. Mohu vřele doporučit.

There's probably a lot more value here if you have nostalgia for playing this back in the Czech Republic in the 1990s. Otherwise it's a somewhat naff point-and-click adventure, more on the level of, say, The Adventures of Fatman than Day of the Tentacle. Prepare to be thoroughly frustrated by some utterly obtuse puzzle design (lots of backtracking to areas you've been to before that now - unannounced - have new information they didn't have before...). There's English subtitles and text but the translation is very poor and inconsistent, with key items referred to by wildly different terms at different points (e.g. doughnut/pine cone). There's also only English text during gameplay, not animated sequences, so you'll be lost if you try to follow what's going on then. This is also very obviously designed for mobile phones: there's a button in the menu to unlock the full version of the game that's meaningless if you've bought this through Steam. It's not the worst point-and-click adventure in the world but the bad translation, cheap mobile-game quality and off-colour '90s humour definitely keeps this out of 'must buy' territory.

Poldovi jsem se 25 let vyhýbal, I přesto že jsem adventury později začal hrát opravdu hodně, myslel jsem si že je Polda jen jednohubka, která nestrojí za pozornost. Díky kampani na remaster jsem zjistil že hru dabuje megastar Luděk Sobota. Nyní jsem si hru a zahrál, je to skutečně hra s hvězdným obsazením, dabing je perfektní a hra je plná legrace. Velmi jsem si ji užil , určitě si zahraju celou sérii

Arguably the best Czech point-and-click adventure from the 1990s made by a Czech developer for a Czech audience. + awesome trip down the nostalgia lane + superb dubbing by famous Czech actors + unfiltered sense of humour that is so hard to come by these days - poorly designed achievements just to artificially inflate the gametime
