About Doors of Insanity: ReOpened

You are trapped in the absurd and endless maze of doors that is Purgatory… and it’s time to get out. Each door could hide a mad monster, a mythic weapon, or worst of all… a weirdo!
  • Build a deck from over 100 cards and master ridiculous synergies: turn your enemies into gold, abuse their fragile egos while cowering behind your summons, throw food at people, and more!
  • Fantastic equipment to boost your deck’s potential with stats like the “Man Mincer”, a saw that turns enemies into attack boosting meatloaf.
  • Roll diverse dice that turn your turns on their heads! Double your stats, pay the price in blood, or get a lovely foot massage.
  • And (of course) … a Jellybean Samurai.

Reimagined. Rebuilt. Reopened.

Somewhere between a remake and a sequel, this humble tribute to roguelite deckbuilders is a passion project from a small team within Neon Doctrine who reimagined and added their unique take to OneShark’s original creation.
  • Completely reimagined Mechanics
  • Over 100 new Cards with powerful Synergies
  • New Equipment system that affects your Cards
  • New Dice system that spices up your turns
  • New Enemies with devious new tactics
  • Full Controller Support
  • UI and Quality of Life adjustments

A downgrade from the original version. No character customization. Dumbed-down mechanics with stuff randomly shuffled around. Lame cards. Unnecessary changes to existing encounters to crowbar in references to crypto scams or whatever. Just play the original version if you can.

Doors of Insanity: ReOpened is a roguelite deck-building strategy game developed by One Shark in collaboration with Neon Doctrine and published by Neon Doctrine. This version serves as a reworked and expanded edition of the original Doors of Insanity, refining its mechanics while introducing additional cards, enemies, and gameplay systems. The game blends traditional roguelike progression with deck-building combat, placing players in a strange, surreal purgatory where each door leads to an unpredictable encounter. Its design emphasizes experimentation, humor, and chaotic strategic possibilities rather than a structured narrative experience, making each run feel like a strange and unpredictable adventure. The game’s premise is intentionally eccentric. Players awaken in a bizarre afterlife environment where a seemingly endless series of doors leads to different events. Each door represents a new challenge or opportunity, ranging from combat encounters to strange interactions with unusual characters. The objective is to survive these encounters, strengthen your deck, and travel deeper into the labyrinth of doors. Rather than presenting a traditional story with defined chapters, the g…

Art and music are awesome. Balance is good. ++Creativity and Originality Unpredictable. Could be better at explaining things like stats (magic, IQ, ATK) Would like to be able to customize deck. Onions/unlocks take a lot of experience.

I love this game and played many hours on the original version. And even though I like few things they added I feel like they made the game worse in other things when it comes to the game. My biggest beef with this game is why did they remove cosmetic customization features from the game? Why remove the boat cutscene in the start of the game? Feels somehow like this version of the game is lesser then the newer one when it comes to everything in general. 6/10. Add all these things from the last game and I will change the score to a ten out of ten.

for some reason, insted of making the original better, they made a copy but worst

The game is fun and great to pass time. The art is unique and the secrets that you find are funny. Easy pace gameplay.
