Spire Blast was originally an exclusive for Apple Arcade in 2021 and now that exclusivity period has ended it has been ported to Steam. It does have that mobile kind of feeling although I experienced no issues with it apart from frame rates were a bit high and my PC got a bit warm. Apart from that, it is very addictive and fun with achievements and controller support. There's loads of content for this game too so it will keep you occupied for a long time. The idea of the game is to collapse the tower by launching coloured projectiles. There's no randomness in where the cube will land, like in Angry Birds for example, you are in full control, and wherever you point is where the projectile will land. This brings about a lot of strategy because you can spin around the tower and choose where to strike, trying to weaken the structure or plan a few moves ahead to cause the blocks to tumble. You have a finite amount of attempts and a choice of two colours to launch. The colour of the projectile must match the colour of the block for it to disappear, and if the same coloured blocks are touching that block, then they will disappear too. Therefore, you can look around and see if the…9 found this helpful
Spire Blast is a physics-driven puzzle adventure developed and published by Orbital Knight, delivering an experience that takes familiar puzzle concepts and strengthens them through clever structural mechanics and satisfying destruction systems. While many puzzle games focus entirely on matching patterns or solving increasingly abstract challenges, Spire Blast introduces a more tactile approach where collapse, momentum, and careful planning become just as important as color matching. The result is a game that feels easy to understand initially but gradually reveals strategic layers that make progression consistently rewarding. Set within a colorful fantasy world filled with towering structures and playful visual design, the game immediately establishes a lighter tone that prioritizes accessibility and relaxation. Rather than building itself around an extensive story campaign, Spire Blast focuses on creating an inviting atmosphere where gameplay remains the center of attention. Players travel through vibrant environments alongside a loyal dragon companion while working to eliminate mysterious towers spreading across the kingdom. The narrative stays simple, serving primarily as a fr…
Very fun and relaxing puzzle/physics game.
It's so satisfying! I bought it on sale, and it is a game that is probably worth full price. It feels like a mobile game that gives you exactly what you want including no ads.
A good game to use a few minutes of free time a day. Simple controls (I play on a pad) and the ease of resuming the game after a break encourage you to return to the title often in your free time. The game does not require complicated instructions or a long introduction to the plot. Watching a tower shake and then collapse after a few precise hits gives satisfaction. The game requires a well-thought-out strategy and precision, so it is a good option for a moment of not necessarily mindless relaxation.
Fun and immersive with cozy vibe, definitely recommended!
