Ruff's Bone

Good old 90's edutainment. This kids point and click game is a complete fever dream. All these kinds of games were. What were such developers smoking? I played this back when it was still new in about 1994 and onward. I was a kiddo back then, and can say that the nonsense in this game made a profound and lasting impact on me for better or worse, probably worse to be honest. Kids see the world in a different way, and I do not know the value of exposing them to weird and twisted logic that simply confuses their understanding of reality. I know I was befuddled and confused constantly when I used to play this and other games like it as a 5 year old or so, since there is no consistent internal logic to any of the games wacky animations that happen when you click around. I suppose learning how to point and click on a PC with games like this was the main benefit it provided, stuff like this made using computers like second nature to me in an era where most people were still learning to be comfortable with such GUIs and mice. But anyway, this game gets a thumbs up from me because of nostalgia and the fact that everything works perfectly. Good job preserving this 90's madness and making it …
