What Steam players say

Players praise this charming point-and-click game for being a cute, unique experience where you play as a whippet, with some enjoying it enough to achieve 100% completion. However, the game is hampered by a broken achievement that refuses to unlock despite multiple attempts, no controller support, and tiny text that's hard to read on larger screens, all of which are compounded by apparent developer inactivity in addressing these issues. The experience is also quite short at around 7-8 minutes, which may feel limiting even for a free title.
This might be the only game I know of where you can play as a Whippet. Edit: Went and got mom to come home multiple times, still doesn't unlock the Steam achievement for it. No idea how to actually trigger that one.3 found this helpful
While the game is short and cute, the achievement this game has ("Success") isn't obtainable. I tried a couple of play throughs and nothing. I would recommend, unless you only want to play for the achievement.2 found this helpful

Despite being named Whippet At Large, the whippet in question isn't that large. Very short & easy point and click walk around puzzle game where you play as a whippet The single achievement you get for finding your mum doesn't seem to unlock though, as mentioned by other reviews.1 found this helpful
I generally have a rule of always reviewing free games positively, as you can't beat free in terms of value, but for this one, I'll unfortunately have to make an exception. First and foremost, the singular achievement that was added doesn't work and fails to unlock. Every other review mentions this, and it's mentioned in the game's discussions, but no reply from the dev regarding an upcoming fix. The game could be a cute little thing for handhelds/Steam Deck or the upcoming Steam Machine, but there is no controller support. Luckily, I made do with the Steam controller's trackpads, but even then, at 4K, the text was so tiny it was immensely difficult to read. Then, although it is free, the game itself only takes about 7-8 minutes. Technically possible in 60 seconds if you're not figuring stuff out, so it's definitely smaller than even the most basic of old-school flash games. I'd switch this review to positive in a heartbeat if the achievement was fixed, as I think having the game's functionality actually work is pretty important, and I'd forgive the rest under the game being, well, free. But as for now, and especially to you achievement hunters, don't bother.
