✦ AI summary

Henry Halfhead is a charming, creative game centered around possessing everyday objects to interact with the world, featuring a heartwarming story about life and memories that resonates particularly well as a shared experience with children or partners. Players praise the clever gimmick, emotional moments, and the game's short length that doesn't overstay its welcome, though some find the value proposition questionable for solo adult players and note that engagement can drop in the second half.

Henry Halfhead is a charming and creative little puzzle game built around a really fun possession mechanic. You can interact with and control pretty much anything around you, which leads to a lot of fun and creative situations. The puzzles make good use of this ability and there’s a decent mix throughout the game, although most of them are on the easier side. The only thing that occasionally annoyed me was trying to possess one specific item when there were a lot of objects piled together. The visuals are fairly simple but fit the vibe of the game nicely. Henry himself is adorable, and the different areas have a good amount of variation. The character expressions also add some extra charm. I enjoyed the humor and overall presentation. Nothing in particular stood out, but the game maintains a fun and playful tone throughout. The music and sound design complement the experience well too. I also liked following Henry through his entire life. The way the story is presented is a little different from what you normally see in games, and I thought it worked really well alongside the gameplay. It creates a good balance between the narrative and the puzzles. The game only too…

Falls under the category of "funny gimmick games" like Wattam, Donut County, Octodad, etc. For a 2-hour game, this isn't a masterpiece, and it's definitely not high art, but it's cute and enjoyable. Plus you can draw a bath and toaster yourself.

This is a review from a rare keyboard-and-mouse player. Even though the store page and the loading screen advises you to use a controller, it works perfectly fine without one, even if it's a little clunky... I'm writing this partway through the game as I haven't finished yet, but I'm at the adult life section where Henry has a lot of different things to do around the house and I don't want to forget my opinions by the time I've completed the game. I will most likely edit/update when I do. Spoilers ahead!!!! The game is about the titular Henry Halfhead, who is seemingly the only person in this world. No other characters (human or animal) are ever visible, we only hear about them from the Narrator. You can change Henry's skin tone when you start a new save (I'm not sure how this effects hair colors and style, because they have hair in the school section). The player takes Henry through different stages of life as they navigate life using their special power of being able to turn into objects. It's a platforming/puzzle/adventure game. My experience so far is good, but I have a list of things I liked and disliked in no particular order. Positives: The soundtrack, sound effects, a…

[*]Snails?: No

General Thoughts
Henry halfhead is a completionists day off. A game you don't need to worry about what achievements you are going to need because it's just an open playground for you to explore. It's a great game to relax to. It's effortless and enjoyable.

https://youtu.be/QrUc5UIsdls Wacky hijinks and controls are delivered in spades here but the gap between free play and meeting goals is not always close enough to be enjoyable.
