This is a truly original experience, somewhere between a puzzle game, exploration, and an art piece. In the end, it feels closer to an interactive visual experience than a traditional video game. The game is quite obscure when it comes to objectives or direction. This can be confusing at first, and sometimes frustrating when it’s unclear what you’re supposed to do. The gameplay is extremely simple, limited to movement, speeding up, or slowing down. Where the game truly shines is in its visual design. The environments are colorful, varied, and filled with small details and animations that bring each scene to life. Exploring these worlds feels like discovering a series of living artworks. In the end, despite some mixed feelings, I still had a good time. For its relaxing, exploratory nature and if its visual style appeals to you, it’s definitely worth trying.3 found this helpful

A game of hide and see turns into an artistic, puzzle solving adventure. The game takes place over multiple canvases, each providing a new theme and puzzle to solve, overlaid on a glorious, colorful background. The soundscape ties everything together. This game definitely needs more visibility than it has, i would highly recommend playing it!1 found this helpful
I originally played Hohokum on the PS when they gave it away for free. I loved it. Years later I wanted to play it again but I was only a PC gamer now. I decided to search and see if maybe there was a way to play on PC. Come to find out, it had been released on Steam only about a month prior! I bought the game for the $10 asking price with no hesitation. Game is just as lovely as I recall. You may not enjoy it as much as I do, as evidenced by some negative reviews here. That is okay. If you do enjoy it, you're in for a rare treat. This is a special one.
