Laser Tag Massacre

Laser Tag Massacre is a short retro horror game with awesome low-poly graphics that absolutely nail the VHS slasher vibe. It's creepy, fun, and doesn't overstay its welcome. If you enjoy PS1-style horror, this one's an easy recommendation.

It was an okay experience until the game language randomly switched to arabic when I paused it, and I did not have a way to change it back. Update: I came back to finish the game by using a Translator app on my phone to navigate the game menu to change it back to English. The game didn't really provide a good payoff, and was too short. The 'chase' segment is about maybe only about the final 20% of the time you'll be playing, and it's confusing without much clear direction on what to do or where to go. The killer also looks incredibly goofy because of the costume he is wearing, which detracted much from the sense of horror. The first 80% of the game is boring tasks setting up a party and listening to the characters yap on. Also the game has a VERY LONG 'papers please' style segment right in the middle, where you have to check for real tickets for partygoers. This segment was interesting, but seemed a bit out of place and definitely added too much time to the already too-long segment of everything else you have to do setting up the party before getting to the scary part of the game.

A solid horror game. I really liked the retro style, but the pacing was way too slow. Like 80% of the game is just doing random tasks, which is okay, but there was just way too little horror here. I think it could've either been longer or just cut down on some of the setup stuff so the horror parts had more time to do something. Aside from a few jumpscares, it was honestly pretty boring.
