It is another one in the series of clear the road type of management games.I don't know if it is just me getting sick of these at this point or is the additional features added to the game, but this one actually managed to annoy me at some point and I didn't enjoy it anywhere as much as the rest. It however still a good game. It also still has those dumb, annoying "beat the developer time" achievements too which make completing the game way less pleasant experience. Works without any issues on Linux with Proton (6.3-7).5 found this helpful
5/10
[EN]
Hercules on the Moon
This one might be my least favorite of this franchise when it comes to certain levels, but it's still entertaining like the others. I just think the story has been stretched a bit by making Hercules go to the moon xD But hey, I'm all for creativity! The gameplay follows the same base as every other "12 Labours of Hercules" game, but with new mechanics such as portals and the "alien booster pills". [PT]
12 Labours of Hercules IX: A Hero’s Moonwalk, developed by Jetdogs Studios and Zoom Out Games and published by Jetdogs Studios, continues the long-running time management series with one of its most unusual ideas yet. Rather than keeping Hercules grounded within traditional mythology, this installment launches the legendary hero into a science fiction adventure that blends ancient legends with futuristic settings. The result is a light strategy experience that stays faithful to the formula fans already know while introducing enough creative changes to make this chapter stand apart from previous entries. The story takes an intentionally playful direction. Hercules is summoned to help resolve a growing threat connected to the Moon, pushing him into an unexpected journey beyond familiar mythological landscapes. Accompanied by trusted allies, he ventures across distant worlds filled with strange technology, unusual hazards, and challenges unlike anything the hero has faced before. The game never aims for serious storytelling. Instead, it embraces humor and imagination, building an adventure that feels energetic and entertaining without becoming overly complicated. Gameplay remains ce…
Similar in mechanics to previous releases in the series, but the guide is interactive instead of looking like a Powerpoint series of "slides"; so you play along instead of "preparing" the strategy. I don't like that. Level 5.2 is particularly challenging. Not many new ideas despite the hike in price point, the quantity of levels is still 5x10 + 5x1 + 1. I suggest playing earlier games if you don't have them, and wait for deep discount if you want this one. On the fence about recommending, but it plays smoothly.
Seemed harder than the previous ones, but then I went back and played the first one and it's even more difficult. I guess it's me that got rusty. Still a great game.
It's alright. If you've played any of the games from A Labour of Hercules through to 11 Labours of Hercules, you know what to expect here.
