✦ AI summary

Players are divided on this Hercules installment. Long-time fans of the series generally appreciate the increased difficulty and casual gameplay, but many feel disappointed by poor level design and flawed mechanics, particularly expressing frustration with the pricing relative to previous entries. Some find it a worthwhile casual time-waster despite these issues, while others consider it a significant misstep for the franchise.

I've played the previous nine Hercules games and loved them all. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this one. I'm not sure what happened with this installment, but the design team totally dropped the ball. The level design on this installment of the franchise is absolutely horrible. The levels are very poorly designed, and even majorly flawed on a few of the levels. I'm very disappointed.

Developed by Jetdogs Studios and Zoom Out Games, and published by Jetdogs Studios, 12 Labours of Hercules X: Greed for Speed is another enjoyable chapter in the long-running time management series that continues to blend Greek mythology with accessible strategy gameplay. This installment introduces a story centered on an incredibly fast creature whose reckless dash across the land leaves chaos in its wake, prompting Hercules and his allies to restore order while uncovering the mystery behind the magical speed. Although the narrative remains lighthearted, it provides an entertaining backdrop for a campaign filled with colorful locations, humorous moments, and steadily increasing challenges that fit perfectly within the franchise's casual style. At its core, the game follows the familiar formula of collecting resources, clearing blocked paths, repairing damaged structures, and completing objectives before the clock runs out. Every stage functions like a strategic puzzle where success depends on making smart decisions rather than simply clicking quickly. Players must carefully determine which resources to gather first, when to upgrade buildings, and how to assign workers efficiently …

Of all the games in this series, this is probably the one I have enjoyed the least.

Very fun casual game and similar to the others in that series. Nothing major change in this 1 but if you like to spend some time playing without a fear of messing up, this game is for you.

I'm happy to report that the difficulty at the casual level has kicked it up a notch in this one! I've played all of them and easily got gold in all games except this one! Got silver and even bronze in a few of them. Not sure I'd pay full price for it, considering the content and price of the predecessors, but it's still just as solid as the previous games!
