12 Labours of Hercules X: Greed for Speed

I've played the previous nine Hercules games and loved them all. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this one. I'm not sure what happened with this installment, but the design team totally dropped the ball. The level design on this installment of the franchise is absolutely horrible. The levels are very poorly designed, and even majorly flawed on a few of the levels. I'm very disappointed.

Developed by Jetdogs Studios and Zoom Out Games, and published by Jetdogs Studios, 12 Labours of Hercules X: Greed for Speed is another enjoyable chapter in the long-running time management series that continues to blend Greek mythology with accessible strategy gameplay. This installment introduces a story centered on an incredibly fast creature whose reckless dash across the land leaves chaos in its wake, prompting Hercules and his allies to restore order while uncovering the mystery behind the magical speed. Although the narrative remains lighthearted, it provides an entertaining backdrop for a campaign filled with colorful locations, humorous moments, and steadily increasing challenges that fit perfectly within the franchise's casual style. At its core, the game follows the familiar formula of collecting resources, clearing blocked paths, repairing damaged structures, and completing objectives before the clock runs out. Every stage functions like a strategic puzzle where success depends on making smart decisions rather than simply clicking quickly. Players must carefully determine which resources to gather first, when to upgrade buildings, and how to assign workers efficiently …

I'm giving it a thumbs down solely due to the level where you have to rely on the golem. That was not very well thought out and the guide was no help in that level.

Always looking forward to a sale on these games, it scratches an itch

Of all the games in this series, this is probably the one I have enjoyed the least.

I love it! It got challenges that will make you scratch your head.
