About A Front Too Far: Normandy

May, 1944.
In the days before the D-Day, the British and American intelligence sent numerous secret service officers, such as the OSS units, in the north of France to gather information on the positions and fortifications of the Germans, and carry out operations of sabotage and screening.

A few days before the giant landing, an American agent with important information went captured. It is necessary to find and free him at any cost.

The task has been assigned to Jasper Fox, Lieutenant of the OSS. It will be parachuted near Valognes, Normandy.
Thanks to contacts with the French Resistance, he will have to find, free and escort the captured agent to the coast to the north, where they will be extracted and taken away by an allied submarine.
The mission is designed to last a few hours, assuming nothing goes wrong ....

The concept is interesting but the game is far too unpolished to be enjoyable. The thing in patricular that made me just give up is the fact that if you fall through the map or get stuck on geometry and cannot break free, you are pretty much screwed, because it doesn´t matter wether you press ´´main menu,´´ or ´´save and exit,´´ the game will save regardless, and upon loading the game, you will spawn at the exact same spot, in the same predicament (that being still stuck or still freefalling in the void under the map). The only thing left to do at that point is restarting the entire game, no matter how far you´ve gotten. Other minor issues can be forgiven, because you can tell it was clearly made by a very small dev team, but this is simply cannot overlook.

Atrocious! Clearly an abandoned game by the developers. Bad models, bad animations, bad NPC AI, bad voice acting, and bad game destroying bugs!! I can't believe that this was from the same devs for Easy Red 2

i AM TRAPPED IN A SAVE AND CANNOT MOVE ON THERE IS NO SAVE EACH MISSION WHEN ACCOMPLISHED AND A RESTART IS REQUIRED THERE NEEDS TO BE A PROGRESSIVE SAVE FEATURE AS ALL WHAT YOU HAVE ACHIEVED IS LOST.IF YOU FAIL ON A MISSION.

Awesome indie RPG with an open world set during World War II. From the intro you are thrown into a pretty big open world of the French countryside. You have German patrols you can sneak around or engage in firefights all over the map in cities and and fields/forests. You can follow the main story or tackle on side missions to help the French Partisans while being able to sell items or upgrade items in their hidden camps. The NPC's have voice lines and there is even a great soundtrack to accompany you on missions. While it is a RPG you have to manage your health with different medical items and even keep your nutrition up with food and drinks. The gunplay is not bad and even though there are bugs and it may not be the most polished game there is a lot to love with A Front too Far. You can tell there is a lot of passion put into this game and it really shows if you can look past the small budget of the game because it has a lot of soul compared to other half baked games. There are not many open world RPG's set during World War II and if you are a fan of that then this is a must buy. Grab the supporter edition as it offers a snow variant of the open world map so you can immer…

This.. i cannot say anything good. Its a classic example of a great idea executed incredibly poorly. It looks way, way worse than easy red. Runs far worse too. You have texture pop in at about 10-15 meters in front of you even on high LoD settings. And it's basically a bastardised version of easy red 2. If this project were to be developed further, then my opinion would definitely change. But for now, with these issues present, its obvious within half an hour of gameplay that this just isn't it.
