A Game Called Paako is a pixel-art 2D platformer metagame that tells the story of a game major graduate student making his thesis game project: A Game Called Paako.

I enjoyed this game. The music was nice, the animations are cute, the platforming was generally smooth (though the dash jump was a little confusing? but it wasn't utilized very much anyway), and the story was definitely heartfelt. It is [b]VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE[/b] that you have to buy the DLC to finish the story. Tbh I thought that part was kinda funny, but I really wish the game was more upfront about it. Maybe having the free game be a demo and the final part of the story as the full game? Additionally, I wouldn't recommend this game if you're someone that hates long text-based segments. There is text in every single part of the game, and it doesn't stop. It's not a detractor for me, but I know some people hate that stuff. All in all, I liked it. It was fun. That's why my review is blue instead of red.
Nice one. It lost me at the point of when it introduced the dashing as I could not get the timing right - but overall, nice experience up to that point. Only thing I really hated: The forced pauses during text passages..
This game is incredible, honestly. I can't recommend it enough.
Fun Game! Its a cute lil platformer/text adventure about the process of developing itself. The platforming isn't innovative, but its pretty fun and I could see a future game using a similar engine being just as fun! Don't let me fool you though, it is a text-heavy game and although it only took me 1.5 hours to beat, only a good 15-30 minutes of that was platform-heavy levels so if you don't like the story, you aren't going to have much fun. It is free though so feel free to try it and see if you like it! Personally, I'm going to buy the DLC to see if it is more than a developer fund(which it is perfectly okay if it is) once I get some pocket money.

I was just browsing on steam and I stumble across this game didnt read the description or anything and downloaded I played it start to finished and It was the BEST!! finds ever if you think you shouldn'y play this game think again cause the story the jisst of the game everything about it is just amazing and shout out to the dev for actually going on with this game play this game NOW!!
