About A Long Journey to an Uncertain End
Not looking good, Captain. That holo-influencer you sent Matias to guard has been “upstaged”. Putting a former drag queen before every camera in the ‘verse? Not the best idea. And the anti-sentience rally we sent Aylah to... that’s a riot now. Not saying it’s her fault the audio drones were hacked, but, you know. Probably didn’t help.
On top of that, Truly and Denny are nowhere to be found. Any chance of keeping a low profile is out the airlock.
All in all, a quieter day than most!
Sentient ships have been outlawed for centuries. With the help of your holo-companion C.O.R.G.I. and your (mostly) loyal crew, you’ve managed to evade capture. Now there's an entire galaxy between you and freedom.
A Long Journey to an Uncertain End is a narrative space opera that’ll have you soaring around the universe assembling an unruly crew from an eclectic cast of characters. As a sentient A.I., pick your preferred pronouns or customize them to whatever you like before voyaging through the 'verse. Take any job you can to keep one step ahead of your abusive ex, and keep flying towards freedom.
Along your travels, bring aboard an eclectic crew from a diverse cast of characters with their own stories and skill sets. Who will you bring on your adventure?
🌹 Truly, ace pilot and champion charmer.
👛 Denny, thief, troll, lovable scoundrel.
🔧 BRD, fellow sentient A.I., former spaceship, current robot outcast.
Invite these misfits and more to join your cosmic travels!
Supplies don’t come for free in the ‘verse, doubly so for outlawed sentient spaceships. Every planet, moon and space station is a valuable source of jobs and their precious rewards. Assign crew tasks based on their skills, and help guide their decisions along the way. Every job is a chance to gain resources or a lead on a more lucrative gig on another world. If everything pays off, you’ll have what you need to escape. If not...well, you can call in those favors you’ve been saving.
Manage your resources to keep your crew happy. Boosting between worlds can take its toll, as can failing at jobs. A happy crew is a productive crew, and everyone needs a break from time to time!
A Long Journey to an Uncertain End presents a unique vision of the future, a universe of inclusivity and diversity tainted by uncertainty and fear. Every crew member has their own story, every planet its own history, and even your own adventure remains unfinished.
Fly across a unique galaxy as you explore planets, moons and space stations. Discover the dust-bitten badlands of the Rim, the techno-industrial megacities of the Core…and Beyond!
Just remember, the clock is ticking, and you need to keep distance between you and your abusive ex who’s always on the chase.
So...where to next, Captain?

I really would like to recommend this game, but I can't at this price. Way too short. In under six hours I played three complete runs. Choices are limited and there isn't much to the "jobs" you take. Once you get the hang of the game's mechanics it is very simple and there just isn't much to the game.3 found this helpful
Wow Wow I hoped that if art style is bad, at least story would be intriguing? At least that was my thoughts after checking out the description Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut THIS IS such a boring ♥♥♥♥, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ then possible, if it was longer it would bore me to death. No realyy, one of the most unimpressive, unengaging stories that I ever read, and there was a lot of boring stories main character is pathetic, empty, there no backbone, no character, even no AI flavor in the MC Characters cast are uninvolving and mediocore except the first one. They are so boring that I even cant remeber there names right after the game and that's when I am writing literally after closing it.2 found this helpful
A LONG JOURNEY TO AN UNCERTAIN END has you playing the sentient AI of a spaceship, on the run from a vengeful and possessive ex, picking up an assorted crew of misfits as you hop from planet to planet, station to station, picking up odd jobs to keep yourself and your crew fueled up and content! I find myself charmed by this game, even as I acknowledge its shortcomings: the crew members you pick up have well-defined colorful personalities and backstories, but they take a backseat to your own journey as you try to stay ahead of your increasingly deranged, threatening ex. In fact, your ex takes the spotlight for most of the game, which could perhaps be seen as an unfortunate truth in fiction; as they take every opportunity to center themselves in your life and harass you over the comms: mixing sweet honeyed words with threats over how you'll regret trying to escape in the first place, gaslighting you into doubting your own decisions. I named my ex "Lungexploder". I hope you'll find that amusing. Furthermore, while the crew are great characters: they don't really interact among themselves, which I feel is the whole point to having such a colorful cast? You got a cranky grandma cybor…2 found this helpful
A Long Journey to an Uncertain End is an adorable sci-fi VN. You are a sentient spaceship who is on the run from an abusive ex, traveling from one system to the next picking up crew and doing odd jobs. Each person you pick up and each job you do gives you a bit more of the backstory, and then at the end you get to pick how the story will close out, cue cutscene and roll credits. It is short, sweet and simple. There is a ticking clock and some degree of resource management, but if you accept everyone onto your crew by the end you'll have no trouble cruising to the finish line with more fuel and resources than you know what to do with. The game has a Carmen Sandiego meets Elite vibe - each planet has its own little animation and color text and some unique missions. Even though you do a bunch of crime, it's all framed as wholesome rogueishness and the game doesn't dwell on any negative consequences so it's super cozy. The characters are diverse and cheerful, which i think is the point. Even your obsessive stalking ex doesn't seem like so bad by the end. The game isn't going to sock you in the feels like a Mass Effect style epic, but sometimes it's enough to just be gays in space sav…
I originally backed on kickstarter but didn't get around to playing it until now, all in all it is a short but fun game with not much replayablity. I love the artstyle but the character creator/NPC generator meeds some tweaking, lots of gaps between the body parts and accesssories. The resource mangement is pretty easy, casual players will have no trouble. The crew are very fun and unique, would totally read a book with them as characters and I enjoyed talking with them when the events came up. The animations, world design were very charming too, It really feels like a fleshed out world with a lot of unspoken lore. Its only cut down by its short play time. The $35 price tag is steep for what the game is but if you see this for under $10 I really reccommend picking it up.
Fun, quirky and cool. I backed the kickstarter and like so many games I wish I had more time for this.
