About A Sky Full of Stars 仰望夜空的星辰
The starry sky spreads far and wide overhead...This story full of love, comedy, and excitement follows our protagonist and his stargazing friends as they grow together.
"A Sky Full of Stars" is a coming-of-age astronomy tale by the same team who brought you "If My Heart Had Wings".
Childhood friendships, passed-down traditions, deep bonds forged over time, and even deeper feelings all intersect.Old relationships and moments left in the past are all drawn clearly in "A Sky Full of Stars".
It didn't matter if we were near, far, or anywhere...we always looked to the same sky."A Sky Full of Stars" is a tale of young people from different schools' astronomy clubs coming together and gazing at the stars.
Innumerable stars twinkling in the night sky...To replicate the night sky as accurately as possible in "A Sky Full of Stars", images were created using data from the Hipparcos Catalogue (found at: hipparcos/tycho2catalog) and the "Starry Winds MMD" planetarium engine software.
Voices that sound like they're right there next to you...
Certain scenes in "A Sky Full of Stars" have been recorded using the binaural recording method.
Using both a normal mic and a binaural mic to get in as close as possible, we've been able to come up with an audio experience that offers a natural-feeling closeness with the characters.
A breathtakingly wide-open winter view...

This is a good visual novel. It has a beautiful presentation with the character designs, voice acting, OST, and the way the stars are rendered being the brightest spots. The characters are charming, and it's nice spending a cozy time with the Six Stars Club. They all have great chemistry and it's fun to watch them interact -- it's hard not to come away with more respect for astronomy after reading this VN. However, the writing is pretty uneven -- something that was also a problem in If My Heart Had Wings. Two of the routes - Saya and Hikari -- are great. You see them develop a lot as characters, and watching this trio of childhood friends continue their love of astronomy together is a great emotional payoff. There are also conflicts that make the story compelling on their routes. Meanwhile, Orihime and Korona's routes both feel like they should be side routes on a fan disk. They're shallow, short, have no real plot to speak of, and there's a lot of character development left on the table. It's still fun to be around them, but I generally like to get a little more out of my stories than these two routes provide. On the whole, it's a good experience. This game is another absolute gem of a visual novel. I loved every second of it ♥ The story was so beautiful!
Coming from the same studio and main writer as If My Heart Had Wings, I expected nothing less from this. And it did, with flying colors. Combining great love stories with advanced sciences such as aerospace technology and astronomy is no far-off dream. First off, I didn't mind the removal of H-scenes; I still got to feel the soul-stirring romance while putting myself in the shoes of Akito Sorami and romancing the four heroines. And if you ask me how I rate the heroines, Saya's the definite first, with Hikari in second place, and Korona and Orihime tying in at third. And of course, as in IMHHW, I imagine an English dub for ASFoS. Based on my entire playthrough, here's my hypothetical main cast list: Travis Mullenix (Rentarou Aijou in 100 Girlfriends) as Akito Sorami Bryn Apprill as Hikari Houkiboshi Lisa Reimold as Saya Amanogawa Reshel Mae (Yuki Suou in Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian) as Korona Kusakabe Elsie Lovelock as Orihime Shiratori Finally, I wish the fandiscs, Fine Days and Interstellar Focus, would have official English releases (yes, I'm aware that there are fan translations for these, but I'm on the fence on getting them).
I'll be honest, soundtrack is amazing, but this story didn't quite grip me as other pull top visual novels did. It's lighthearted enough that there is enjoyment there.
