There's more to this than meets the eye. I promise! Pros: 1) Story - It may seem standard and predictable it first glance, but if you really think about it the developers attention to detail is actually quite impressive. I won't say more because of spoilers but I'll make a post in the discussion section for anyone wondering what I'm talking about. 2) Play your way - I won't try to say that this is the Undertale of VR because I don't need that kind of drama in my life thank you very much. However, I think everyone can agree that there are thematic similarities. Did you kill every guard? Did you kill civilians? What about the rats and chickens? And of course the biggest question... did you stop to play the lute????? 3) Length vs Price - I'll fully admit that I kind of speed ran my first playthrough simply because I really wanted to see how the story progressed. That took me a little more than two hours. That being said I also fully intend to replay the game at least once, maybe twice, because there are things I definetly missed and other things I really want to try. So if you get the game on sale like I did, for $4, then I can without a doubt say it's worth it. Honestly though, I do…1 found this helpful
I just beat the whole game by playing for an afternoon. I can tell you this is a little, underrated gem. The locations are variated and the gameplay is good. I think this game is almost as good as Vanishing Realms so you like that one i think this is a good choice to buy on sale for example. I created a profile with Natural Locomotion in order to increase the immersion and it did work flawlessly. Great game overall in terms of fun. There are some bugs, especially at the beginning of the game, but i could play the whole thing without big issues.
Kind of Janky. Doesn't feel good. Looks great and the voice acting is good, but the stealth lets it down, with AIs having no turning animations. You are sneaking up on them and then they are facing you in a flash.
20 Minutes First Impressions. on HTC Vive w/ Vive Wands TL;DR, an average Indie VR title from the early days of VR, missing all of the expected QoL features 2020 VR Titles have. First Screen is Pure Eye Burning White, going from the Dark Steam VR Theme into blinding light is genuinely painful. Sub-Titles on by Default ruin immersion. Dagger Void noise is way too loud, easily 3-4x the sound of sprinting footsteps. Combat feels weightless and you're better off wiggling your dagger than actually fighting how you should IRL. Stealth feels crudely implemented, guards seem to spot you right away and give no chance to run and hide. The game doesn't support Crouching, they give you gallows that are high enough for any average sized person to crouch under but the game doesn't let you. As one of the early of early VR titles, one most likely made by 1 or 2 people it's an average title but compared to 2020s games it lacks much of the expected features. If this game was set to Free to Play or Sub 5USD it would be much more acceptable.
Good story a bit slow build up but all of all nice story for vr
Boring. Lame.
