About Memories of a Vagabond
✦ AI summary
Travel through souls seeking vengeance while mastering permanent cross-class abilities in this turn-based RPG inspired by classic SNES legends. Death isn't the end—respawn as a new class and mix abilities across archetypes to create endless combat combinations in a dark, ever-shifting story.
In this turn based RPG for Windows you play as a young mercenary and travel from soul to soul to avenge your fiance and her family. While finding a way to change the flow of past events, you will encounter many obstacles and meet new allies. Will you be brave enough?
This game aims to revive nostalgic moments for good old RPG fanatics (such as Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 3...). Our game has no game over screen; once the hero dies, his soul is sent to the underworld, to meet the Soul Giver. At this point, it is possible to re-embody a new body (therefore several choices of classes: Warrior, Assassin, Mage, Hunter ...). In addition, once a character masters a technique, it is learned permanently in the mind of the hero. It is therefore possible to transfer a warrior's ability to a magician. This leads toward interesting gameplay combinations.
What makes the game unique and fun to play:
- Dark, mysterious and ever-changing storyline
- Unique class & death system
- High replay value.
- Various treasure hunting.
- Easy crafting system
If you are a fan of old good RPG games, this one is surely for YOU!

Horrible controls alone, Game looks like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. 29.99 EUR is such a scam, thankfully I got this from Key Gambling. 0/54 found this helpful
Mediocre RPG Maker product with no distinct features. This game plays like every one of its clones. It's a turn-based JRPG where you can choose from 4 different classes with different attributes and skills. It also lets you change your class every time you die, which is pretty cool. The combat does not introduce anything new and is as dull as it gets. The story is short, but there are also some side quests to complete if you choose to do so. It's also too simple and predictable, leaving no impact whatsoever. The dialog is all over the place, and characters join your party with no real reason. The graphics are just what you get from this type of game, neither good nor bad, just there. The level design leaves much to be desired. Dungeons have no sense of direction and no flow to them. Cities and other locations feel off to navigate through, they don't follow design standards, and the scaling is awkward. The combat screens are also lacking personality and proper scaling and overall just feel out of place. The overall sound is ok. The soundtrack works, and every other sound is simple but gives the correct feedback. There are a lot of QOL features missing. NPCs also behave weird…3 found this helpful
For RPG Maker fare it's middle of the road. However, the game is VERY VERY short... as in you will beat it before all the Steam cards drop short. Short as in there's a total of 3 towns and 3 dungeons and 3 bosses. But it's not broken or offensive or anything1 found this helpful

For a game with 2D graphics, the vibe is conveyed very atmospherically.
Thought it was about a wanderer - turned out it’s a soul that lost its teapot. Every frame feels like a letter from your grandma in 2073. I don’t get it but I won’t stop playing. 10/10.
