Hard to get used to at first, but drifting is really sweet here, also love the night maps Would have liked to buy the soundtrack to support, it's chill game and a chill jam. Loving it all around4 found this helpful
Good game. The top-down art style looks great and the driving feels tight. My problem is me: I'm bad at drifting and I don't have the hours to grind out clean lines. That's not the game's fault. If you have some time to practice, or you're just naturally good at this stuff, buy it. The core is solid and the fun is real once it clicks.1 found this helpful
Absolute Drift is one of those games that fights you at first and then rewards you hard once it clicks The learning curve is real, took me a good hour just to stop fishtailing into every wall, controller is definitely the way to go for this one. But once you get the feel for the drift it's exceptional, that moment where everything clicks and you start chaining slides is something else Only gripe is the price, wait for a sale and grab it under 10€, it's worth it at that price for sure
Neat idea and occasionally fun to just drift around, but - Physics (collisions) are weird. - I did not like the controls. Subjective, I know. I used PS4 and PS5 gamepad. Cars just feel stiff. - Free roam is bugged. Had to reset progress once and start over (fun!), drifting does not always register etc. - Skid marks is drawn in the air. Is this for for stylistic purpose? - Surprisingly long loading times. Not like super long, but considering the size and scope of this game it also feels weird. (e.g. loading from free roam to event). Maybe pick from sale.
The gameplay is smooth, the graphics are minimalistic but still excellent. However, once you figure out the steering the game is already over, I would have liked to continue in actually difficult levels. It took me about 4 hours to 100% achievements and I paid 6 bucks, which is OK value I guess. So overall not enough content but still a good game. Get during a sale.
I found myself sideways, i sure was absolutely drifting
