About Ace Pilot Pacific
Ace Pilot Pacific
is my 3rd game and I have been working on it for around a year and a half. The action takes place during World War 2 in the Pacific. You will fly one of the six different aircraft available against the Japanese.
You will be dog fighting against Zeros, Ki43, Ki49, G4M, G4M2, Hk8K2, Nakajima Kikka, J8M Shusui, and Shinden.
Choose between 5 missions:
- Atoll
- Pearl Harbor
- Wake Island
- Japan Run
- Ha Long Bay
You can play them in the order you want without restriction. The goal is to obtain the highest score in every mission. When you or one of your Allies destroys a plane, you gain a flag. When you have 3 flags, you gain an Ace level. The mission ends at Ace 100, if you are still alive. When you destroy an enemy, you get a Power UP, at Ace 100 you get an Upgrade.
All missions start with you and a wingman against 3 Japanese and when you gain an Ace Level, the number of enemies increase as well as the number of Allies, but the numbers are random, sometimes you get more Allies, sometimes it's the opposite.
Backgrounds are very detailed all in 4K HD. Atoll is a small map, Wake Island is a giant one 32768x30720 pixels. The effect is stunning and if you're like me, you will want to go swimming on that beach.
All the objects are 3D, even the sea. I recommend you use a game controller. It's like flying a small RC aircraft on your screen. But it also works with a keyboard.
I am planning to add more missions if the reviews are good. If you like it, give it a thumbs up.

Nice game with intense non-stop action. Liked the progression with bombs and missiles. Controls are smooth on a pad and also on keyboard. The graphics emulate arcades games but with modern resolutions, and without the pile of quarters... Nice work! (From the trailer, Pearl Harbor looks great btw, time to shoot some rice paper planes).11 found this helpful
Please follow United Critics for quality reviews
Story
There is no story. It is just 5 maps and 6 planes for you to choose from. Each map is one of the World War II battles taking place on the Pacific. Maybe if you are someone deeply interested in history of World War II this will be enough story for you but for a typical gamer that is not enough.
Gameplay
I will be brutally honest. I played this game only for 40 minutes but that was enough to make me uninstall it. I played better flash games 25 years ago and they were free and I know there are many better free games on Steam right now that you can have more fun with than you will ever have with this game. The game also has a ranking system and I managed to get the second place in mission 1 with 4082 points and the second place in mission 2 with 6524 points during that time. This tells you how badly people don’t want to play this game and how fast they quit. I also checked the whole ranking system and mission 1 was played by 20 players while mission 2 was played only by 5 and missions 3 and 4 and 5 was only played by 1 player …6 found this helpful
Be aware that this game has no "cockpit" view. The only view is from above the "board/map"with the aircraft on it. The game can only be played with the keyboard or a controller. A "controller" does not include joysticks. My x56 joystick and throttle are useless. So, you may or may not like this game depending on your style of flying. In my case with no cockpit view and no joystick it will not work for me.1 found this helpful
