I'll preface this by saying: the main campaign did nothing for me. As a shooter, this game is "okay" at best. It's serviceable™. It just doesn't FEEL that good to play - this dev's next game, "Project Silverfish", improves on that aspect, and several more, by miles and miles. And again, the main campaign did nothing for me at all. It's proof positive that you can't really make Half Life work without really, really good level design and storytelling. But. There's something special about Zone Patrol. And I'm recommending this game because I think you should see it. Experience that for yourself. Take stock of what you see and take lots of notes. Ignore fights where you can, which honestly is most of the time. (And then check out Project Silverfish. It's so damn good.)

Total hidden gem. If it weren't for Silverfish I never would have found this. I love zone patrol, and the story is pretty fun.

A great game that has a lot more to offer than you'd first expect. The campaign is a fun enough little romp but the real meat and potatoes are in zone patrol so make extra sure not to dismiss it as just a 'bonus' mode.

I have been looking for a game that scratches the Half-Life itch and this game got really close. It is always fun to grab stuff in the environment and be able to use it as a weapon against your enemies. I mostly played the campaign, although did try the more open-ended exploration for a bit. It didn't quite click for me, but it might for you! It did crash my computer a couple of times for some reason but that was fixed when I adjusted some settings. Overall a really fun time.

- Simple and satisfying gunplay. - Plenty of weapon and enemy variety. - Chucking heavy objects at people never gets old. Overall, ADACA feels like the Half-Life, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and Halo franchises had a baby together. A great pickup for anyone who likes early/mid-2000's shooters. One more thing: the Zone Patrol game mode requires you to pay close attention to your surroundings and have a decent sense of direction. It took me several hours longer to beat than it should have because I kept missing side passages that lead to important locations or quest items tucked away in obscure corners of the map. I still had a good with it though, so make of that what you will.
