AEXXOS

I’ve been having an absolute blast with Aexxos so far. It’s a super fun top-down space MMO where you pilot your little spaceship around by clicking to move, and somehow it manages to feel both relaxing and addictive at the same time. The controls are simple, but the upgrade system adds a ton of depth. You can equip up to 5 upgrades that completely change how your ship plays, which makes experimenting with different builds really fun. Even with the game still growing, there’s already plenty to do on the map. Farming blueprints, exploring, progressing your ship, and teaming up with other players keeps the gameplay loop satisfying without feeling stressful. The progression feels steady and rewarding, which is something a lot of MMOs struggle with. In just 60 hours I have completed the majority of quests and its left me wanting MORE!!! One of the best parts honestly has been the community. The Discord is awesome — I’ve already met some cool people in there (Including the owner!) and we regularly farm ship blueprints together. AEXXOS caught my attention because I have always liked the idea of being able to jump into a space game and slowly build up a ship while exploring a bigger universe. This is an Early Access multiplayer space game where I can explore, mine, trade and get involved in real time combat. It has a fairly ambitious idea behind it, and even though the current version still feels like a work in progress, I found myself enjoying the freedom of deciding what I wanted to do instead of being pushed down one strict path. The ship progression is probably what I enjoyed most. I can choose different ship types and then improve things like engines, shields, weapons and other modules. That gives me a reason to keep gathering resources because I can actually turn what I collect into better equipment. I liked experimenting with different setups and thinking about whether I wanted something faster and more mobile or something better suited to combat. The economy and exploration add another nice layer. Resources can be gathered from different places and then used, traded or turned into something more useful. Very, very, very, OMFG very slow gameplay for an action shooter. Literal 5 second cooldowns for level 1 character attacks on inanimate objects is total BS.

I enjoyed the brief time I spent on the game. I know this game is still being built upon so for right now I know and hope the growth and popularity of this game grows.

It has some good bones, but needs some work.

I mostly enjoyed all of my 24 hours of game play as a result I will leave a positive review. Please make more content.
