About Alchemic Jousts
Alchemic Jousts is a 2D action strategy game mixing card game's deck creation and real time gameplay. Command your elementals and support them with a wide variety of Skills. Control the arena and crush your opponent in one-to-one encounters!
As you progress through the single player campaign you'll be able to discover new Skills and abilities by combining your already known ones and expanding your repertory of weapons to draw from.
Single and Multiplayer gameplay. Play vs AI and advance through the game's campaign, discovering new Skills and new game modes or challenge a friend with either local or on-line multiplayer.
Strategic combat, where your actions and skill of execution matter as much as your choices before the match starts!
Over 180 skills and upgrades to discover. Combine your known skills to discover new ones and expand your arsenal.
Multiple game modes with different objectives that will make you change the way you play as much as the skills you choose. Those include Combat, Endless, King of the Hill, Attack, Capture...
Random Global Effects, which change the general rules of each match in subtle or radical ways. The varying rules will keep the game play fresh and require you to consider the Skills you use to approach them!

Alchemic Jousts presents a pretty fun logic puzzle in its element combinations. However, it fails at using that as a stepping stone to a full strategy experience, leaving the two systems to fizzle out separately.2 found this helpful
NOTE: The hours on record are from me leaving the game running idle to farm its trading cards. I was looking forward to playing this game on my new laptop in 2022, but there is a rendering problem in the menus which has gone unfixed for years. And I'm pretty sure it will stay that way, since the devs seem to have abandoned the game entirely. Basically, you cannot combine elements to create new ones, because your current elements don't appear on the screen. They can technically be selected, but it requires you to randomly click all over the screen hoping to find the element you want. Yeah... [b]no thanks[/b]. I strongly recommend that you DON'T buy this game, no matter how cheap it is. Just watch gameplay on YouTube if you are curious.1 found this helpful

Definitely a very interesting game which offers great variety in playing styles and strategies. Well worth the price.
