About Alchemist Shop Simulator

There's no business like magic business. Time to set up shop in an idyllic small town in a medieval land filled with fairy tale magic, Discworld-esque comedy, and pop-fantasy cliches. Start small, and grow your business as your fame reaches new customers. If you think running a store is easy and somewhat dull - think again! This is no mundane supermarket. This is an establishment of miracles and wonder! Fill your shelves with magical merchandise and adjust the prices for optimal profit, while making sure your quirky clientele can still afford it. Expand your shop, add shelves, and organize your wares to attract customers!

The alchemy workshop above your store is where the real magic happens, and where you can make the most profit. Master the alchemical arts and brew potions worth their weight in gold. Fill your grimoire with formulas for useful concoctions through research and experimentation. Each ingredient has its unique properties - mash them in the mortar, mix with water and spirits, boil them in your cauldron while stirring carefully. Your elixirs will make a good coin when sold in your shop, but there's even more money to be made on custom orders. Sometimes, a customer will come with a problem only an alchemist can solve!

Good alchemical ingredients aren't that hard to come by or as expensive as one might think, while bought in bulk from the vendor across the street. But they're even cheaper if you grow them yourself! Fill your backyard with plants and mushrooms that hold all sorts of arcane qualities - from relieving bad gas to unraveling the fabric of reality. Make sure to always keep some extra planters of all sizes if you come by a rare seed while browsing your suppliers wares. Do you have a green thumb? Just remember to water your crops - they're the key to your future fortune!

As you gain wealth and experience, you will unlock new skills, options, and access to some more extravagant wares delivered to you from the farthest reaches of the realm through a network of travelling merchants. Some of the items will blow your mind (no, really - handle the Fire Wands with extreme care!). You'll also be able to buy some extra furnishing for your establishment, rare ingredients for your potions, and seeds to get your garden going. Keep an eye on lucrative wares, buy low, sell high and make sure to delight your clientele!

I put about six hours into this game because, honestly, mind-numbing monotony is usually my thing. But this one crosses the line from “relaxing grind” into straight-up frustrating. Progression is almost nonexistent. Your garden and shop get a little bigger, but you don’t. Your speed never improves, your watering doesn’t get better, and the upgrades are effectively useless because you’re trapped in an endless loop of restocking and watering. That loop consists of running back and forth over and over between the merchant and your base, carrying one to four items at a time. Rinse. Repeat. Forever. Meanwhile, plants wilt at an absurd rate. Miss watering them multiple times a day and they’re done. They even wilt while you sleep, which makes sleeping completely pointless. There’s no benefit to resting, and doing so actively punishes you because your plants decay while you’re unconscious. Potion making is fun at first, but it quickly hits the same wall. The only real advancement is unlocking new potions, yet you can still only craft them one at a time, making the system feel shallow and artificially slow. I wanted to like this. But the lack of meaningful upgrades, punishing plant …

Skip this one. Even as a connoisseur of Unity jank, this game is more jank than fun. Making potions is just following a specific recipe; and the game doesn't get meaningfully different as you progress. You're just unlocking upgrades for upgrades' sake. Better play Shoppe Keep 2 or something to get your chill game fix. Else you're gonna be stuck counting out change far longer than you'd like.

i must first start off by telling you this game is broken and will more than likely glitch on you and ruin your entire save file. read the discussions tab for the game and you will see half a dozen people talking about it on the first page. the game WAS fun if a little slim for content and progression but i assumed since it was a work in progress at the time that it would get the bugs worked out. some patches hit that added resources and balancing in the game, however the last patch appears to have broken the game, oddly the same exact bug hit numerous other projects at the same time such as card shop simulator. it leads me to believe its a problem with engine or pre-built assests. the glitch is simple, customer walks up to your checkout line but wont accept money or items and you cant kick them out or shutdown your shop to force a reset. its an immediate end to your game and save file at that point. now lets talk about the good. its a fun little alchemy shop sim, you buy trinkets and weapons while also collect plants and work orders then make potions to fill your shops inventory for the day and complete work orders for money. its a nice cycle and the game is well optimized for t…

Horrible game, extremely janky, buggy, and just plain unfun. It uses a constant timer mechanic that is absolutely unforgivable to the point that if you plant some seeds at night right before going to sleep, they will be completely dead by morning because x amount of hours went by without them getting watered, which will just cost you money that you can't get back, and then if you don't do the tutorial you also end up getting screwed because the tutorial gives you literally thousands of free gold, while starting without it gives you absolutely nothing, and then on top of that, apparently development on the game is practically abandoned in favor of other games because since launch of the game here on Steam almost a year ago (March 11, 2025), there has been a whopping...two updates, and only because they wanted to mention being part of a sale event. Tried getting a refund, but unfortunately I waited too long to try out the game after purchasing it, so I don't get my $8 back (because I got it on sale)

didn't really do much alchemy, mostly sold teeth and skulls. I think alchemy should be the main feature of a game called "alchemist shop simulator". You can only brew one potion at a time and it takes a while of focused labor. Not hard, just requires your attention. You mostly just run a shop were you are essentially buying cheap and selling high. I know it's just a game, but you get all your supplies across the street from your shop. Why aren't the townsfolk just buying from them? It isn't a bad game, just doesn't really feel like an alchemist shop. Honestly could just rename the game to magical shop simulator and it would be a better fit for what you actually end up doing in the game.
