Algotica is an educational adventure-puzzle game about programming, along with a story that breaks the fourth wall. If you wanted to start learning programming but it seems too difficult to understand, you don't have enough time, or you're just not sure that you need it - this game is a great place to start.

The main aim is to lead a program named Lony from the start point to the end point of a level. This must all be done using only formal rules and logic of the in-game world - Algotica. Although the game seems simple, each new level has new obstacles and sometimes even new mechanics. With each new stage, you will use more advanced programming mechanics and understand more about programming and algorithms.
Slow paced game about giving commands to your not so trusty robot. Visual side is ok but gameplay part is not for everyone as you mostly figure out how to get your bot to the exit.
11 found this helpful
The core gameplay is ok but the interface is horrible. It feels like a proof of concept, not a finished product. At least the devs removed the broken achievement.
I can see why there is a lot of criticism for this game. Plenty of problems and bugs, The UI is really annoying and in many cases things just don't make too much sense. It might be a nice game if you have nothing better to do, but for the price its not really worth it in my opinion. Sadly due to the poor UI and the game being kinda buggy the puzzles were not really that fun. Like the fact that, while a core part of the game being about optimising code, the player can easily circumvent using a line of code by use of a function which counts as one no matter how many times it is used. Overall it is clear that this game has not really been tested much nor has it been updated since release.

I can't even pass the level zero, no tutorial, just poor sentence to click on bot and then yellow button.. but you have like three yellow buttons on screen and none of them doing anything meanful. Waste of time.
4/10 The art design quite cute and puzzles are interesting, but UI and UX ruins everything. I don't remember other puzzle game that i droped after few minutes.
