[b]Anagrams[/b] is the first game by Hero Game Co LLC, creators of Prose and Codes, Poems and Codes, and The Case of the Worst Day Ever. The developers appear to have a love of word games and have carried this through all of their subsequent titles. In this, their earliest offering, players must complete match-two puzzles in order to solve a vast array of anagrams. It is a minimalistic but fun and relaxing experience that doesn’t try to add too many bells and whistles to simple word games, whilst still elevating things in subtle ways. It keeps the format and aesthetic clean, allowing players to sit back and enjoy the match-two puzzles and anagrams whilst also feeling a sense of progress and achievement through the level structure and categories, as well as the choice of game modes, and earning/spending keys. The various mechanics in the puzzle sections add variety, ensuring that the game remains fresh and interesting and also emphasise the sense of growth and achievement felt by the player. It is a great value for money, containing hours and hours of family-friendly entertainment, and much like Hero Game Co LLC’s later games, I would happily recommend this to fans of puzzle and wo…

I expected it to be what's on the tin: anagrams. But it's really 2 separate gameplay loops: A grid-based matching game, which lets you build the letters that you then use to solve the anagrams. If you only want word games, this won't scratch that itch, but if you want a unique, bite-sized puzzle game, this fits the bill perfectly.

This game is perfect for relaxing. Turn down the sound in settings and have your own sounds on in the background while you play this; or have your own sound down and just play this while watching stuff. It's a great puzzle game, with heaps of content, a hints system (not always helpful, but the internet exists), and you can replay if you fail a level. No stress, bright colours, great for word lovers.

Nice little casual game to play, perfect for those moments when you're not sure what you feel like playing. It's 50% solving an anagram and 50% tile matching puzzle game. I did not like the tile game at first, but it grew on me quickly. It's fun and breaks up the monotony of just deciphering anagrams. The tile game also gets more interesting and gets special tiles as you progress through difficulty.

This a nice relaxing game. The animations are nice and the puzzles are interesting. Highly recommended.

Fun puzzle game overall, the stages themselves aren't that hard but I tend to get stuck on the actual anagram parts. Oh well.
