About Antimatter Dimensions
Antimatter Dimensions is a highly unfolding Idle Incremental game with multiple layers of unlocks, prestige, and achievements. The basic goal is to reach Infinity and receive an Infinity point, which can be spent on various upgrades to increase your overall production. After Infinity the game has just begun, as there are much, much more to discover.
Antimatter Dimensions was originally created in 2016 by Hevipelle as a web based game, however it's development has since expanded to have multiple developers, and even more testers. During the first years, it was updated rather often, sometimes updates within 5 hours of each other. But after the Dilation update in 2018, Hevipelle and the team started working on the Reality update. Over 4 years later, the update is finally out, along with the Steam version of the game!
- 2 years of updates, then 4 years of pretending to update behind the scenes
- Multiple challenges, ranging from minor alterations to major challenges that forever change the way you play the game
- 100 Steam achievements, but even more in game!
- Less than a hundred perks, 0 talent and some miscellaneous upgrades too complex to go into detail about
- An obscene amount of automation, including a custom scripting language. AD also happens to be about unlocking new stuff and automating all stuff.
- Helpful tutorials in the helpful help page.
- Two black holes to explore, 0 mini games, 4 “pets”. If your glyphs start speaking to you, please see a doctor
- We added a shop!

8/10 - The quintessential incremental game. The beginning of Antimatter Dimensions feels like a distillation of the concept of "incremental game". It has very little graphics, you just make the number go up. A little further on you get several "automators" (the game automatically performs some tasks for you), and you just watch the number go up on its own. Much later on, the game changes to be more interactive, and is where the game shines. Now there are several stat boosts to choose from, but I must pick only a subset of them. I enjoyed performing this "dance" with the Time Studies, Glyphs and Celestials. (I particularly liked the puzzle of The Nameless Ones.) The incremental nature of the game still reign supreme, but the need to constantly switch loadouts makes the game feel much less idle. The ending also felt cathartic.
It reminded me a bit of Universal Paperclips and Nier:Automata.
A good game if you are into idle/incremental games, but probably not a good choice otherwise. (Also the news ticker is great, especially the interactive ones.)
I've played pretty much everything in this genre, and I am confident in saying Antimatter Dimensions is the best incremental game ever made.
