Yikes very unoptimized hot mess unlike some other games I played from them. Runs with 14 fps on 1080p cinematic settings with my 3080 and it's built on Unreal Engine 4 so yeah definitely a horrendous experience gonna avoid this like a plague.

"Aohri's Uprising" is a reasonable enough student project from the Objectif 3D game dev school. This time the students did a fairly basic but workable 3rd person action/shooter, and it looks like the students got a pass this time around. It's not worth a huge investment of your time but might be worth checking out if you seriously have nothing better to do, can't afford to buy games (seriously Steam has sales almost constantly), or otherwise just want to burn half an hour or so of your time. The graphics in this game are really quite good, which at least makes the game look more appealing. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. The gameplay itself isn't perfect but it's okay enough that you can enjoy playing it for a while. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without…

The game is OK. It's free after all. In reality this would qualify for a skill demo or pitching project. The graphics is quite nice but not optimized. The combat and boss design lack finesse. The boss attack patterns are more suited for a top down bullet hell type of game, not a 3rd person action adventure. Still I'd say it's worth trying.

Not bad. I liked the environment, and the boss fights. The main flaw is the choppy frame-rate. The game is free though so I have nothing to complain about.

Game needs more life and engagement, to get on the first name basis with the player and to give it something more than repetition. Pros: -Achievements are a nice touch -Shooting feels good -The different obstacles are cool -Jumping and dashing system is done well Cons: -The game lacks story, narrative and cutscenes, there is no introduction -The game lacks an objective overall and something to make it interesting in that sense -The movement is not that satisfying -The game is repetitive and gives the same things over and over again -The scenery is repetitive and is kinda boring, I was waiting for 30 minutes to end to move on -It needs something else than just HP in a chest to locate or pickup in the game -It need enemies other than towers and bosses which are the same and have the same exact mechanics -Dashing sometimes doesn't help dodge -Puzzles would help Overall, a 2.5/5* from me, you can find the review of the 30 minutes gameplay video on my channel: https://youtu.be/_h1vUfSOlQg
